New Gunbound is out and as the title states, thats what its called. For some reason or another though you can't download it from anywhere. All the links are dead ends. It might have something to do with the fact that everyone hated this new version, and they are trying to fix all the bugs in it. All I know is that the BETA was open for a little bit and was wondering if anyone got a chance to play it.

The download servers basically crashed yesterday from traffic, and have been down since. The download was actually up on the 27th, which was when I downloaded it. There was no traffic then since they never made an ingame announcement, just a news post on their site.

I had to system restore back to the 26th, though, due to some program for work I was installing corrupting and started eating away at my computer. So I lost the installer. And, of course, when I have time to download it again, the servers die when I'm at 76%, so I haven't gotten a chance to play it yet.

Anyways...with that said, I do know people who have played it, and so far, I haven't gotten a bad opinion on it.

I heard the graphics and Gameplay levels were extremely higher than the original gunbound. If that is true, i'm sure the Fun Factor has increased positively as well.

I just looked on the site, and at the avatar section...

They have prices for week, 15 days, month, year... It seems avatars are now limited to time as well... lame.

All the avatars you already own are still permanent, however.

The time limits only apply to items you buy from now on.

I just checked the site they need to fix the download sites and the download now before people start bitching more...

If you're looking to download it, I believe people have posted it in chunks/torrents on other sites. If you google it, you'll probably find a place to download it, and at much faster speeds than the softnyx servers.

It's graphics are good, but...

You can now rent avatars, and avatars are no longer permanent, like a week rental for less gold. This is LAME because noobs get good avatars and catch up. However, if you bought an avatar before the update, it is permanent.

The new interface is SO INCREDIBLY LAME that it almost made me quit.

There is a 70% chance your game won't load and your computer will freeze.

The new bots are so retardedly pathetic that they downgrade you. With the best damage of Kalsiddon OR J. Frog, you do around 800 per dual. With Boomer, I do 1,000+ per dual. These two new ones are lame and hard to master.

The metrics wind-wise have changed a bit.

My 1337 l-l4>< are patched.

I'm quitting Gunbound for this lame update crap.

This is good.

It gets people off Maple Story for a while, which allows me to ACTUALLY BE ABLE TO PLAY.

But I hate GB, so ... whoosh.

2- Tosh, you basically just quoted everything on the Gunbound forums.. do you have any in-game shots to back up anything you said. Like the graphics.. or bots in action?

Mine won't load... says something about getting my latest driver for my graphics card, even though I already had the latest installed. I went and checked. Yep, latest installed. So I installed it again anyways, restarted.. nope.. still doesn't work... LAME

I played it yesterday. IF you like the old one the new one is for you. I had no problems, no crashing, no nothing. Everything went smooth when it loaded. I had to restart once because I created lag myself, by clicking too many server rooms at once. The new bots are ok, and the new avatar system is good. This gives noobs an actual way to survive when playing higher ranked people. I like it.
