Lol, on the cancer webpage for canada, it says that if enough people download this program onto their ps3, the multi-core processor will help analyze and possibly find a cure for cancer @_@.

Yes, I know it doesn't use the processor when you're playing a game. But this is Sony we're talking about.

Lol oh forgot to mention, it's only in use by cancer societies when IT'S IDLE so really it's just benificial for the cancer association, and as an added bonus, you'll feel better for making a contribution

I swear Sony just begs for bad news.

Here's what has happened between now and what I posted about last time.

1) You pay $600 for a console that has sweet high-def capabilities and awexome grafX. But oops we're not giving you the cable to actually GET those graphics. Go pay $40 for one. And $60 for all our games, with prices going up to $70 or even $80. Want another controller? Tack on another $30. So after buying an HDTV for three grand and spending six hundred on the console and over four hundred for some games and the ability to actually play them then ROFL -$4000 NOW YOU CAN PLAY YOUR PS3!11111

2) Turns out that Blu-ray sux the big one one one. Here's why. Yay storage space boo loading times. The way production of the blu-ray discs work makes them susceptible to insanely slow loading times. Xbox 360 has a 12x DVD drive, meaning it can load about 16 MB/s. Turns out Blu-Ray can only read at about half that with 9 MB/s. Also turns out that all that uncompressed data takes forever to compile and run.

3) Wow so the laser is having problems already and they can't keep with their promises yet again. Turns out they can make 500,000 for launch date. 400k are coming to the states, 100k in Japan (stupid). This is totally banking on the "PEOPLE WILL BUY IT EVEN IF IT HAD NO GAMES LOL WE'RE SONY" deal. Even so, they killed the worldwide launch already. Europe is out of the equation until Spring 2007 entirely, their 5,000,000 units by the end of 2006 is dead and over, and somehow I even doubt they can even get the console out by Christmas at this point.

Somehow I think Sony is purposely making this console suck.

I wish more of these current consoles came in a more variety of colors. I dont want my only choice to be white.

I am incredibly anti-Sony though. Shoddy products from them for years and they've never resolved that issue. And I would never pay $400 for a console, so the 360 is out of the question as well.

It's easy to shop for me.
