The Snowboarding King Is Back...

In 2000, EA BIG released a snowboarding game that featured beautiful landscapes, insane mountain ramps, and spectacular tricks. The next SSX game was SSX: Tricky which was never a true sequel to SSX, but more of an expansion pack with more Tricks to pull off. In 2003, the true sequel to SSX, SSX 3, was the crown jewel of the series with 1000s of customizations, even more insane tricks, magnificent landscapes, the largest cast of characters in SSX franchise history, and the overall awesomeness that gained the spoot for Best Extreme Sports Game of 2003 by Gamepro magazine. After EA completed SSX 3, most people thought that it could never be topped.


Well, they're about to be wrong.

Smurf, but I know the PS2 version is going to be much worse than the XBox and Gamecube versions.

The PS2 version much worse? Sure the PS2 version had graphical hiccups every now and then, but the PS2's version was better in everyway compared to Gamecube's lack of enough buttons to pull off tricks and Microsoft's technical hiccups in term of overall gameplay. Simply put, the PS2 version was the best and probably will still be the best. And I'm not waiting for the DS to try to top the PSP on this one....

Are you crazy?.. I had SSX tricky for Xbox. I was the Master at it. I played the PS2 version. Sucked ass. The Xbox version kicked ass and had nothing wrong with it.

Played SSX for PS2, loved it. Played Tricky for the GC, enjoyed it.

Needless to say, yeah, I like the PS2 for this better. Probably buy it... but not sure exactly yet.

Sorry I didn't explain the pixelation and the hexagonal deformations.... I'm sorry I didn't list the specific codeing errors in the ps2 version. Why didn't I? Becuase thats stupid. I played both games, I saw which one I liked better, and I expressed that here. In my eyes the Xbox SSX was Better than the PS2, just for the fact that I liked the controls on the Xbox better and because when I played it on PS2 I did see some glitches. I owned the game for Xbox and Very Rarely did I see a glitch.

I played it once for the PS2 and once for the Xbox. Xbox was the better experience so I bought the Xbox version. So in my opinion the Xbox's version of SSX was better than the PS2 version.

Or to make a long story short.

Well that's your opinion but it would be pretty hard to top SSX 4 on the PS2 considering SSX 3 sold more on the PS2 than any other console.

@Moogy-Snowboard kids was a good game, I'll give you that. But there is no room in todays gameing industry for a game with a bunch of kids with HUGE noses on snow boards. Especially not with they throw items at each other that makes the other person turn into a block of ice.

@Chromer-Of course its going to sell more for that Ps2. More people own a Ps2 than Xbox. So when a really good game comes out for multiple platforms, it's not hard to assume that its going to sell more game titles on a system that has more owners.
