This should be in the Systems forum or whatever it is, not Chit Chat. Please read the rules before you post topics like these.

RE: Which game system best?
Moved.
What do you want out of the game system? Do you want to play RPGs? Multiplayer? Online playing? Racing games? FPSs? etc.
I own a PS2 and I'm happy with it. Though I wouldnt say it is the best...but really, I dont think there is a "best" system, they each have their weaknesses.Comment

Uhh, I'll correct some of my predecessors.
Large library of unique games - PS2.
Decent library of amazing games - Gamecube.
Graphics - Gamecube.
Controller - Gamecube.
No load times - Gamecube.
Halo - Xbox.
That sums it up nicely. For anybody who thinks the graphics are the best on the Xbox, please re-look over the statistics of the systems. A better graphics card does not always mean better graphics. I've seen several games where textures fail to load properly and other games that actually freeze.
Basically, when I was making the same decision 3 years ago, I had to decide between Super Smash Brothers Melee or Halo. Obviously, since no good game has ever come out for the Xbox, I'm glad I chose to go with the Gamecube.

Personally, I like the PS2 controller the most...I find the Gamecube control goofy...yet it works.
PS2: Large library of games, plus backwards compatiblity.
GC: Good graphics, party console.
XBOX: It has a Harddrive...and it is heavy...so it could probably double as a mini-gym once you are bored with Halo.Comment

Ya i played halo with a friend it was fun as hell, but gamecube as awsome multiplayer games, and Ds has graphics like a nintendo 64 and its handheld...AHHHComment

How much cash do you have? if it's exactly 150 or less then get the cube. You can get the console, and extra controller, super smash bros., and a mem card for about 150. 150 will be just enough to get you an x-box, ps2, or DS. And if you ant halo that badly, get it for the pc or wait for halo 2 to come out on the pc if you want halo 2.visit my friends site or he starves-

I think, Jewp's descriptions are alot less biased towards Gamecube. Unlike someone else's...Originally posted by jewpinthethirdPersonally, I like the PS2 controller the most...I find the Gamecube control goofy...yet it works.

Yes, Gamecube is the best for multiplayer action. I can agree on that.Originally posted by jewpinthethirdPersonally, I like the PS2 controller the most...I find the Gamecube control goofy...yet it works.

For myself, the gamecube would suck. I feel those are all kiddy games (AKA Mario Party) that actually have good multiplayer value.
Now, with X-Box, you can get Live, which I play with thousands of people in Halo 2. Thats some true multiplayer action
