Oh yea, by the way...someone mentioned something about Doom 3 and graphics needed to run.
I think I win.
By the way, the anti-aliasing is on 4x and it DOES run smooth. I just can't have anything running in the background at all. If I put it to 2x I can run it smooth with almost anything in the background.

It's been so long since I last played TS2 that I can't compare which one is better. I should pick up a copy -- think its bargain bin at blockbuster yet? UT2k4 is an excellent game for a decent price. For a game that is multiplayer based you'd expect it to be very strong in multiplayer. And, well, it is... before Halo 2 you'd have found me on the Tetris, Unreal Championship, or Unreal Tournament 2004 servers -- It really was one of my favorite multiplayer games as was TS2 on PS2 and Xbox (the GCN version felt wierd to me).
Yes jewpin, I was refering to that.
They simply slowed the banshee down to create a balanced vehicle set up. Obviously some of the vehicles are like rock, paper, scissors (gauss hog vs ghost) and some aren't. Also, they slowed it down to prevent people from using it way more than they should. If it's getting across the map you are worried about; L trigger.
Those games, I agree, are great. The latest 007 game I played for the Xbox was a real let down in my opinion. I know you can choose between first person and third person but third person just doesn't really appeal to me except when playing games like Thief or Splinter Cell. Metroid prime was an excellent game but was only worth 2 or 3 rents at the most. I'm going to pick up MP2:E soon once I get a few more bucks or Christmas rolls around purely for multiplayer and some single player. Too bad it's not online. Oh, and I do not find, given the right controller, analog being hard. On the GCN's controller with the weird stiff C-Stick it can be very annoying but with the PS2's or Xbox's smoother analogs it's a piece of cake. Kind of biased in a way because I like to snipe and I have to get used to the controller so for a newcomer to the xbox/ps2 it'll be different. Oh and squeek, if it's multiplayer you like try Call of Duty if you haven't. It's not as fast paced as UT2k4 but hell, what other game is as fast/jumpy as UT2k4?
Zild, I realise that Coagulation does not have the same feel of Blood Gulch but it doesn't take long to get used to. It's pretty much the same map but with some added rocks. I don't really know what you're talking about with the shotguns... I think you're trying to say the options aren't as customizable as the first one. I think there is an option to have half or no shields but I'm not certain... the shotgun game type is basically no motion sensors and if you can surprise someone a shotgun can be a one hit kill. If no option for the half shield is available and you guys really wanted to play that certain type, set a handicap for yourself and your opponent(s). I don't ever recall them taking out any vehicles other than the ATV which was kind of a lame idea in the first place. The new vehicles (gauss hog, wraith, and spectre) are a few new things to get used to. And the whole "hi-jacking" element they added can be very hard to pull off with a faster moving vehicle like the banshee. Besides, if you're in a banshee what're doing on the ground anyway? Oh, and the physics in my opinion are better. But we probably have different definitions of better -- do you mean funnier/more laughable? Or do you mean more realistic? Like what would REALLY happen if you killed them with a grenade?
Egh, and lastly (sorry about long post it's my beddy-bye time/time to do homework) Anticrombie, I've basically already explained in other posts why it's a lot of fun to play. I don't feel the need to repeat myself, but I'll give very brief reasons to why I THINK it's a cool game to negate any direct flames...
+good graphics -- for old hardware I think it's decent but for the time it took to make... eh
+excellent opportunity to play with friends or (strangers :O )
+decent ranking system and matchmaking system makes it fair to an extent
+good buddylist setup
+fun to insult people and then beat them
+improved AI compared to the first Halo (flood can drive vehicles etc.)
-cinematics -- I didn't really like them much >.> purty though
-graphics load time... I guess for some people it takes longer
-ending... blegh, I heard a new ending is going to be downloadable via Live
That's just a quick run down. I personally didn't enjoy campaign very much except for the tank bridge level. I think without multiplayer this game would have suffered. Multiplayer is just too much fun to deny it of a low score.Comment

There's light in Doom 3?Originally posted by Anticrombie0909Too bad AA does nothing in a game that's 99% darkness.Comment

When you put your brightness to max, as I have.
I still couldn't see. It was glorious going outside for the first time. I nearly blinded myself.

PS - I love how in Halo 2 you finish this really annoying mission as the MC and completely out of the blue you're playing as a Covenant Arbiter. GG guys. Thanks for explanations.Comment

Don't want to leave a sour taste in anyone's mouth just because I prefer one game over another -- so how about you guys continue bashing Halo 2 and not the players and I'll stop posting good arguments which keep being tossed away. That was one long sentence.Comment
