Some dude waited got in line to buy Halo 2 THIRTEEN AND A HALF HOURS BEFORE IT WAS RELEASED! THAT WAS LIKE 10:30 YESTERDAY MORNING! IN LINE! FOR A GAME! HE SAID "I just wanted to make sure I got it... hyuk hyuk." Anyway, this game is going to be pretty good. (Though I have to wait 6 months or so to see if it comes out onto PC .)

But that dude is WAAAYYY to obsessed.

And squeek, I think it's supposed to be PSS, not PPS.

ummm...yeahhhh...i dunno if i can say this or not but if you go to www.suprnova.org once you have bittorrent, you can get it 4 pc and xbox,(if you know how to configured to dvd rom so you can play on xbox)you can get it, i thinks its like 2230mb, but after just burn to disc and delete off comp cuz o big file...i think i might be in trouble...i also got halo2 like 2 weeks b4 i came out lol and that one guy is there for 13 frikin hours wasting his life...
Yes, but that is illegal. Plus you dont get the totally awesome green DVD case and booklet.

You have to understand, 1) not everyone knows about bittorrent and 2) Fanboys dont download games that they have been waiting 2 years for.

Personally, I would not mind waiting 24 hours in line for the sequel of Ico, however, there wont be any lines for the sequel because no one knows what Ico is nor does anyone care because there isnt blood.

Not really a sequel...a new game by the same team (game title: Wanda to Kyozou or Wanda and Colossus). I've been reading some articles about it. Nonetheless, this is the happiest day of my gaming life.

Not enough said. Very little said, actually.

I've not heard reasons why I should play this game yet.

Please, give them to me. I want to hear them.

I hear 1-player sucks, too short and it leaves the story open. I figure the only real reason to buy this game would be to either play online or play against local friends.

Ok, but here's that really cool stat thing I was telling you people about earlier. http://bungie.com/Stats/PlayerGameLi...player=EvoWake That's one of the people at my school. You can check out ALL the games he's played, plus check out maps that tell EVERYTHING about his matches. You have to be signed in to check "the viewer" though. But you can look at everything else.

Besides online play, I think that's the only thing I'd be interested in.

Ok guys, I played it. And I know my friend of whom I played the game with is reading this, so I'll leave it as unbiased as possible.

I still hate all the fanboys that consider this the greatest thing since sliced cheese. Because sliced cheese is really amazing.

The Dual Wielding system bothered me a little but I suppose it made sense. Except for when you wanted to beat something with your gun. For some reason, swinging a weapon at someone with one hand forces you to drop the gun in your other hand. Why? However, it WAS logical to have to free the left hand to grenade something. It just got massively confusing like "Y to dual wield, X to pick up, X to reload, Y to drop".

The graphics made me laugh. A LOT. It's worse than Fable's "We can't load textures fast enough so here's a gray flat plane for you". Every so often, the MC's armor graphics don't load and it's just a 0x antialias green mini-sketch. The same (with different colors) occurs on military outfits and basically everything else... Quite hilarious.

The animation is really sketchy at some points too. Like, they tried to make it for a PC and forgot to tone it down for the Xbox. You'll see what I'm talking about.

I did think they did a nice job synching voices to mouth movement. One of the few games to try this and almost succeed.

I only got the chance to play about an hour or so of one-player mode and about 30 minutes of multiplayer.

I used to be a Nintendo fanboy. I used to hate every console other than those created by Nintendo. One day at a friends house (about 2 years ago) I picked an xbox controller and was immeadiately hooked on Halo. When I heard a sequel was coming I jumped for joy. I couldn't wait for Halo 2 to come out. Then that day came and I ABSOLUTELY fell in love with this game. I don't see how other can't find amusement in this game.

If you like First Person Shooters you'll like this game... The graphics aren't laughable at all... they did an excellent job with every detail that wasn't in the first game. Sure it takes about half a second for the graphics to load but big deal... it's only like that when you first start playing. The whole confusion with dual wielding isn't confusing at all. The reload button doesn't change, the only thing that's different is holding Y to pick up the second weapon. How is that confusing?

Online multiplayer is excellent. It's addictive, it's fun, it's challenging, it's everything I wanted it to be. Campaign mode gets a little bit boring after the first few levels I must admit, but I haven't yet played through the whole game. If you don't have xbox live it's a real toss up if you're going to like this game because that's the only reason I play the game; play with some total strangers and communicate and plan attacks.

If you have a lot of friends who own halo 2 and xbox live this would be a perfect game for large party play. You can make clans with your friends and play against other clans. The only mess up was the "you can't pick a server" thing for online. You'll get used to it, or at least I did.

Sure some of the stuff isn't original but I think it was pulled off better than any other game with similar features. Now. Stop bashing this wonderful game.

No. I bash Halo until I die.

It is not the best FPS and doesn't even come close to the top 10.

And the graphics not loading? It happened to me once every 5 seconds for 3 straight hours in campaign. It just got irritating to see the buildings have to build themselves. I didn't play after that, but why would the problem suddenly resolve itself in the scene right after I quit playing?

Have fun beating the entire game in 10-20 hours and wasting the rest of your time on an online multiplayer console FPS.

Hm, maybe you or your friend has an older/slower version of the Xbox? Mine hardly ever has that problem -- could it possibly be the tv?

In your opinion what IS the best FPS? Maybe we can compare the two? Halo 2 is an excellent game and you should respect my opinion, just like how I respect yours.

For those that think *coughjewpincough* that EVERYONE who plays Halo is automatically stupid and cannot afford or make a decent PC is wrong. A lot of my friends play Halo 2, and yes, a lot of them are very, very dumb... but I can pick a few out who aren't and are very big PC gamers. I'd be more into PC gaming if I had a steady job and a better graphics card. I currently have an ati radeon 9200 which can run nearly all FPS, RTS, and such BEFORE Doom III.

Console FPSs are great. I love analog but kb/m will always be superior to it... I've also been playing kb/m FPSs before I played any console FPSs... so if you don't have the time, the money, or the motivation to keep your PC running, consoles are great not dumb.

                          #1 They Ruined Halo 2
#2 Its an expensive pile of crap

Ref to #1: I hate the physics the original Halo physics were awesome, also you can do games were you just go an slaughter eachother on 50% Health and shotguns for some reason you can do in Halo 2. The multiplayer levels in Halo 2 are crap, number one they RUINED the Gulch > the best multiplayer level ever probably. Ref to #2 They did not put in as many vehicals as they promised and the vehicals are very disappointing and you can hop onto a vehical thats flying and throw a grenade in it? Thats a cheap trick. They took too long to come out with expensive crappy physics and ragdoll features and all kinds of cell renderings. Halo 1 is better, and if you ask me Halo 2 is a let down.

Multiplayer-wise? Of games that are out? No contest. Unreal Tournament 2004.

Singleplayer-wise? More difficult. Metroid Prime wins my favorite console FPS. I think Doom 3 wins for PC.

Both get overridden in about 12 hours.

And I've talked to a bunch of people about Halo 2's graphics not loading fast enough. Everybody has the same problem.

Also, it's not like I hate console FPS games; they just cannot compare to PC FPS games. Using an analog stick to move and aim is irritating and hard. But, I still have (and have beaten) both 007 games for 128b systems, Timesplitters 2, Metroid Prime, and took part in Red Faction II for a while.
