Good lord, son! That's pretty funny.
Last time I played, we all had a good laugh as we watched this guy take off all his armor and clothes and weapons, and jump right into a pit of green mushrooms, yell the whole way. And then somehow he made it to the other side of the pit totally unscathed, and we all went "=O" and he left to the next area with a big smile. I caught up with him later and raised his poularity up by one. What awesome guy. Must have crazy Luck stats.Comment

So, 25 levels and 3 weeks into the game, I realized I made a mistake. A huge one. Oops.
A tip: Level up your character's stats the right way from the start...
So I restarted about 3 days ago. My NEW character (MreSqueek) is level 18. No pictures of him yet. However...

PS - See the tiny increase in HP over those three pictures? That was ONE mistake I made...the other is that I put points into things I didn't need instead of Strength and Dexterity. I could barely hit anything and did very little damage (30-176 :/).
PPS - In the third picture, there were some monkeys as well that I missed. And one section over was some Stone Golems.Comment

Eeeewwww...That is a bad investment of skill points.
As for me, I invested about 5 points into strength, 11 into dexterity so I could become a Bowman, 2 points into Intelligence, and all the rest to Luck. That's an estimation. I forgot how many skill points you start with, but basically my two biggies were Luck and Dexterity. Maybe I'll get some time to play over Thanksgiving Break, since I seem to be a wee short on cash to get HL2.Comment

For a bowman?
You ONLY need Dex and Str. Put 3 into dex and 2 into str for every level up.
Luck is only good for theives and mages. It's been proven.
As for me, I'm putting everything into Strength and Dexterity (+3 +2 respectively). I think I broke 60 a while back for strength and maybe 40 for dex.

Bah. I don't know what you're talking about, Luck has saved my sorry butt so many times.
Besides, there's not much you can do as far as Strength with a bow. At level nine, I was dishin' out 14 damage with a sword. Bows only do 2-3 damage once you run out of arrows. (Note: Last time I played, I was at Level 11)
Then again, I have been considering buying a small sword so I actually have something formidable when I lose all my arrows.
I really should make a new guy. I was really ripped between Theif and Bowman, since Theives get such stylish clothes.Comment

You have to understand... I have no need for money. AT ALL. I can't buy anything from a store that I need. I guess I might want some for trading, but even then, I have way too much.
Enjoy the money you already spent and the arrows you already used.
