You're in luck, Pikachu is being regarded by the pro's as being possibly the best character in Ultimate. Of course that still remains to be seen, but that's the meta at the moment.

That’s great to know since Pikachu is my favorite to play. There are just certain match ups I use Yoshi for (Rosalina, link, cloud)

When in doubt, might just stick with ol' reliable in Luigi.

i've never really played something or have been good enough at a game to main a character so i'll probably just be shufflin through characters casually. maybe that will change with ultimate, who knows

Will probably be sticking with my trio of Link, Game & Watch, and Wolf, but definitely will try out some of the new characters, like K.Rool, Ridley, Incineroar, and Isabelle.

The thing is, with this many characters, it's gonna be hard to stick with just a few imo. Like, I also wanna play Mewtwo, ROB, Pokemon Trainer... I can't have 10 mains, lol.

I'm gonna main donkey Kong casually so I can grab people and jump off the ledge, and also probably the character that has the most tech skill / is the highest on the tier list

Edit: might have to go with young link tho idk

Also I've been watching vids of this game it looks really bad tbh, no combos and floaty as frick
