You'll either roll things with +'s already on them, or they'll drop randomly in dungeons with a +1. Then you feed the drops to each other and it'll transfer the +s. You can get up to 99 for each stat, hp / attack / recovery, makes 297

You'd eventually want to switch raijin out for something with the 7-combo awakening, but in the meantime, her active is good yeah. Yang Guifei is definately nice though. Unfortunately pretty much all the light attribute units with 7c are barred by either collabs or 6* rem. If worse comes to worst, you could just use all units you have with 7c, as long as all colors are still covered either by main or sub atts. so Edward still gets the skill charge.

honestly I'm not too worried about the 7c awakening atm, I'm still early game and anything I tackle right now, even with a rag tag team, absolutely melts to 144x multiplier
