I got 50 AS on my first, I'm only on my 3rd ascension and already making like 150k souls, I'll be making millions in another ascension or two.
But it's going to take awhile to get more AS by the looks of it. I don't think I'll be transcending again for awhile.

Transcensions seem to take about a week, depending on how active you are playing. Typically you'd want to transcend for about 10 AS.Comment

My second transcension was worth 18 AS
Ive ascended twice and im at about 150k hs for my next ascension but i have a decent way to go before ascending again. I got lucky this time. I did a quick ascension after transcending for 7 hs, got lib and siy with only one reroll. you can definitely get enough rubies in a week to transcend weekly
actually I'm not sure how it works on desktop, I play on my phone; 500 rubies for a quick ascensionComment

Transcend when it would take too many ascensions to earn another AS. I've found that that takes about a week if you're relatively active in ascending and levelling heroes, longer otherwise. Also depends slightly on how long your runs are to begin with...
50 rubies on desktop for a QA. Also send all your mercs on relic quests before you transcend. If you luck out on a Solomon relic right away, you'll get instant progress.Comment

Well, this has been interesting.
Haven't even been playing that much, just on and off, and now my runs are up to over a billion HS in a run and still growing rapidly each ascension.
I wonder how much further this can go.
