Sweet, just hit level 1000 for the first time, in about 12 hours.

Have atman, dogcog and dora maxed. Other ancients are Siyalatas, Libertas, Argaiv, mimzee, mammon and solomon.

Who should I buy next? Keeping in mind my setup is idle.

What's a good skill combo for defeating high-HP bosses?

And also, when should I ascend for the first time? (I've never ascended before, I know I'm a noob.)

I would ascend at about level 130. You get +1 hero soul per 2000 hero levels, so make sure you have at least +7 Hero souls every ascension early on to make your run worth it.

You'll probably make 7-8 ascensions this was before its actually worth spending the HS you get. Spending HS costs DPS, so its good to save up some before you spend any HS, and don't spend them all at once because of the bonus they give.

I think I'm probably done with this game soon. Jesus, it has been 33 days. I have 200k souls banked, can reach around ~1200 before slowing down and have all of my guilds on atlas (much more efficient than samurai higher up). I have every idle ancient I would ever need. There's literally...nothing to do other than farm souls and level up the same ancients some more. o_o

Might just get to 1300 and then let it idle indefinitely until I want to play again.

                      lol

                      213 days later...

I stopped playing this game months ago, only banking souls occasionally and just sinking them into Solomon mostly. Reguilded all to Banana and just ran as deep as possible.

They recently updated with runes though so I came back. I've got everything reguilded on Cadmia now. I can farm about 3-4 million souls / hr, but it feels even more pointless now than last time. It would probably take over a billion souls for it to be worth reguilding to alabaster and god knows how many for Astraea.

Level 2749 now after a day of idling. Ready to let the game settle down again for the long nap. Might hit 3000 eventually with this setup.

Though for anyone wondering, runes are complete fucking garbage right now and there's no point in coming back at all unless you want to farm forge cores. Supposedly they'll be useful after the next update, but right now I have thousands of them and they do nothing.

When is the clan update coming to steam?

I stopped playing a few weeks ago since I finally 'beat' the game (All achievements, hit zone 3600 after a several week ridiculously long deep run with a lot of active play), and reguilded all to Astraea. Didn't actually take as long as I would have thought once solomon hit sufficient levels. Eventually the only thing holding back my deep run was chests, since it took like an hour to kill them and it was so much more efficient to just not get them after 3400 or so lol.

I'll join a clan and rock out for a bit if they update it on steam. Anything interesting happen in clans? I honestly don't know much about them.

Re: Clicker Heroes - Browser based idle game

The Wiki has a page about clans which has only a little information, but here is what I gather.

Clans allow for any member to fight what is called a Titan and those Titans award more and more hero souls the higher level they are. Fighting consists of actively clicking and your damage done per click is determined by how many hero souls you have collected. A new Titan spawns once every twenty-four hour period.

This information I can't confirm, but I've seen two individuals mention it...

Every hour the fight attempt essentially resets and players can pay ten rubies to fight the titan again. There is also apparently a ten member limit on clan sizes.

That's all I know about clans from a few days of puttzing about. There are mathematical functions that determine boss health and hero soul bounty per Titan level, but I don't care to learn much about that. It's an idle game after all.
