I went out and picked up a brand new xbox one this afternoon and after getting it home and set up, I go to play titanfall and as it took the disc in, it made a sound like it was damaging the game (it didn't) and it wouldn't read the disc. Has anyone experienced this problem before and if so, how did you fix it?

Re: Xbox One not reading discs
I mean, I literally bought it 5 and a half hours ago. Apparently this was a wide spread issue at launch. Guess they use crappy disc trays or something. Trying to talk to Microsoft now so hopefully something can come of it.Comment

Mines made a weird noise, so I turned it off immediately and tried again. Worked after that. It did it a few times.Originally posted by thesunfanabsolutely I want to vomit on your face irlOriginally posted by choofIt was like trying to throw logic at a fuckin brick wall lmaoOriginally posted by choofwhats more dense, a black hole or an icyworld fileOriginally posted by CelirraI've never been so disappointed by a man from Alabama than I am right nowComment

Definitely return it. A few of them do this every now and then and I even had a relative who had this issue day one (it's more common than you think).Comment

Re: Xbox One not reading discs
I checked the forums online before I did anything and it seemed like a pretty common thing on the early life span of the system, especially at release. They tried having me reset somethings on the system but big surprise, it didn't work. In the end, they advised me to return it so guess I get to make a trip tomorrow.Comment
