Been in the local scene for the past year. Been placing decently some locals considering it's fucking stacked over here in central florida (hbox, plup, colbol, gahtzu, wizzy, etc).

Also play some dolphin netplay seldomly. Let me know if anyone wants to play sometime through that.

do you play with hbox and the others regularly? Or do you rarely get the chance to? I'm curious since it looks like I'm going to my first smash event at Stony Brook University and I want to get as much practice/training time in with the better players as I can. Obviously I can't spend all day with someone like VGBC|Hax, but as I go around I want to be able to see how things go.

I rarely get to play hbox since he goes to school at UF which is like two hours away. I get to play the others more often.

Play friendlies with everyone when you go. It's a big learning experience. I went to my first smash tourney over here with dAnceguy a year ago and got four stocked in both my matches lool.

Yeah bro, when you're playing with the best of the best, 4 stocks happen, and it's nothing to be ashamed about. They're just that good.

i used to play w/ stickly over netplay. i got a lot of rest playing with him. (ekekekek)

but yeah, i played someone who gets like 1st/2nd in like, locals, nothing on par with top tier play, and will always get wrecked.

Yeah bro, when you're playing with the best of the best, 4 stocks happen, and it's nothing to be ashamed about. They're just that good.

Oh of course, as I had said to you earlier (I think), I have no expectations towards my skill in comparison to others. This event is entirely for me to get a feel for what competitive play is like, and to learn from each game I play. I won't feel even remotely bad about being 4-stocked repeatedly; it has to happen at one point or another.

i went to a semi-pro thing for umvc3 a while back. I won exactly 0 games.

At that point, you have 2 choices; give up, or be inspired. it's really up to you

I'm decent* at melee. My most memorable experience was getting jv 5d by M2K at an anime con tourney lolol. I didn't actually enter but my friend told me to MM M2K and I yolo'd Ganon vs Shiek. ***** is a machine for real.

Yeah you don't fuck around with m2k. I played him at a semi-large tourney in Ohio and got whooped as well. I think I took 1 stock off between the two games we played lol.
