But see, I grew up with NES, and I loved the hard games. Call it masochistic, but I liked losing at games as long as I was doing better than the last time. It felt like actual progress once you got even a little bit farther sometimes, and beating a game was a real accomplishment. Also back in the NES days we considered the real standard of difficulty to be "Arcade-Hard" whereas now most people consider "NES-Hard" to be the ultimate standard.

Additionally, because the technology back then was still fairly new and they couldn't really make games have a lot of content. It was a way to prolong the length of the game so people can have their money's worth for $50.

Legend, not one of the original games? Interesting...

I liked the art more in Legend of Mana and it felt more like a world than a game.
