Legend, not one of the original games? Interesting...

If I'm going to go down this route (no particular order):

            Muv-Luv Alternative
            Maji de Watashi ni Koishinasai!
            Cross Channel

Rewrite was good, though it didn't exactly have the impact of Keys previous VNs (Namely Little Busters! and Clannad) for me. G-Senjou is probably in my top 5.

I'm not going to lie, There are a handful of VN/Eroge out there that i do infact enjoy. Though i wouldn't go as far as saying they're my all time favorite thing to do/read/play. I stay with more story/character oriented VN's/Eroge rather than Nukige. Probably the most "eroge" VN I've read would be Cross Channel. (Yes i know this was a joke, i just felt like defending my deviant tastes for some reason)(2D women > 3D women)

As for other games, It would be pretty hard to give a top 3 but if were to go off of time spent (no particular order):

Mass Effect Series - (If i had to pick a single game out of here, probably Mass Effect 3 even though there are still several things i nitpick on this game lol)

            Dragon Age: Origins
            Majora's Mask

Though if i were to view this with nostalgia goggles:

            Knights of the Old Republic
            Dark Cloud
            Golden Eye 64

Re: Top 3 Video Games EVAR

There are so many great games which are great for completely different, sometimes mutually exclusive, reasons, that I don't think choosing just three does any justice. Also I definitely have to give bonus points to any really experimental (for their time) or groundbreaking (for their time) games as well.

Also I see far too much newschool and not enough oldschool (yes some of you posted oldschool)

It's far easier to name three best systems for gaming, so here goes.

1: Nintendo Entertainment System -- if you disagree here, you're either newschool or just plain wrong, lol
              2: DOS
              3: Super Nintendo Entertainment System

2 and 3 may be swapped or replaced with others/etc... I really want to put Gameboy in there too but don't want to knock the others off.

I guess if I absolutely have to list three games, I'll stick with NES games.

              1: Battletoads
              2: Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!
              3: Bionic Commando

^--Again this doesn't do justice at all since there are many more excellent games each for different reasons.

If I were to recommend the three most enjoyable video games ever to my friends, it would be:

                  1) Rocket Knight Adventures
                  2) Super Metroid
                  3) Gunstar Heroes

This is really hard (I could easily make a list of, like, ten games that deserve to be on my top 3) but here goes...
                          1) Super Mario 64
                          2) Banjo-Kazooie
                          3) Earthbound
Best AAA: Policy In The Sky [Oni] (81)
                          Best SDG: PANTS (86)
                          Best FC: Future Invasion (93)

Just downloaded a Gamecube emulator. Now I can play all of the great games that I was stupid enough to sell years ago.

You don't sound oldschool as much as you just sound like you stopped gaming after 1992.

The NES contributed to the evolution of gaming, maybe more than any other console, but unless a person played it when it was new, they're almost guaranteed not to enjoy playing it now. Not even Mario 3.

Don't forget how old the PSX and N64 are. Games like the first Suikoden weren't dreamed up in 2009. They were SNES-era, believe it or not. I get the feeling a lot of the stuff you see as newschool just isn't. Not anymore.
