I am guessing that it won't make it. From what I've seen and heard about it, it seems to niche to do well until it hits the bargain bins, just like the Neo*Geo Pocket. Plus, with the PSP releasing just months before it, I don't think duel GBA circa screens can stand up to the superior graphics and processing powe of the PSP. However, I have doubts about the PSP as well, so... -
First of all, this system will own any other portable system out there. The line up of games is excellent.
Metroid Prime: Hunters- Intense 3D graphics with a great story line. ALso the multiplayer feature is going to own.
Super Mario 64x4 - Im a little dissapointed in this game, just because they are making another remake of the game instead of just making a whole new storyline. Although it may dissapoint me a bit, I think it's going to be a great game because of the duel screens and the multiplayer feature.
Animal Crossing DS- OMG, Animal Crossing on a portable system, and with a multiplayer feature. I'm in shock.
Those are just some of the surperb games that are on the DS. I don't know much about the actual system specs but I will stay tuned to gamespot and IGN for further info on the DS.

All of the games supposedly announced for the DS are mock-ups. Sorry to burst your bubble.Comment

The DS fits nice in the hands though. It's like holding a regular Game Boy and the top screen is the flip-top of the SP. After waiting an hour in line at E3 all I got to do was use a stylus and its touch screen feature to mess around with Pickachu's face (much like the Mario 64 intro). It was messed up.
The PSP just sat around at E3 showing off its media features (playing trailers to Spider Man 2 and more).
It's way too soon to be making any judgements on these systems.

Nintendo DS, more like Nintendo "BS".Comment

Good one.
Asshole.
The Nintendo DS owns PSP in every aspect. PSP supposidly is easier to break, since it has an assload of moving parts and discs etc.
Nintendo is always durable, and the picto chat owns all.Comment

According to multitudes of websites I've seen regarding DS and PSP, the technology is about the same, the difference is as follows
Release Date: DS (End of this year). PSP (Spring 2005).
Games: DS (Mini discs?). PSP (Really mini discs).
Company DS (Nintendo, the one we love and builds solid consoles and handhelds). Sony (Sucks. Stuff breaks very fast. Who isn't getting Disc Read Errors on their PS2 that has at least a one year old Ps2? That's what I thought).
Well, from this chart we see that DS, coming out sooner with two screens, will own the PSP. The gameboy has run essentially unopposed since its debut. Look what it did to "game.com" (actual console), Neo-Geo, and N-gage. All crap. Game gear was the second best.
Aside from that, WarioWare DS with a stylus looks awesome.
