FF7 renamed characters

When you go through the game it's always interesting to rename characters after things you are familier with... The first time I played it I was forced to by a friend. I didn't get very far, but just to annoy him, I named all the characters after minor insults. Later I got it on computer because I like it, I still used all the minor insult names however. Even later I decided to start a new file on my new computer. This time I named the characters after my friends. However my computer had some kind of huge error and I lost my file, I was in that jail wasteland around Gold Saucer. Now I have started a new file and am just around the Chocobo farm. I'm naming my characters after people on this forum. There's a 8 or 9 character limit when naming so the choices are limited. So far I have this:

Cloud - Freak83 (of course)
Barret - Arch0wl
Red XIII - Scorpio

I don't know who else I'm going to use... probably Hyrogashi for Cid if the name will fit. I don't like using short forms of names, but I couldn't remember the numbers after Scorpio.

Anyway, what do you guys do when you're renaming characters in FF7 if you rename them?

Umm..... you can't rename Sephiroth or any of the Shinra, I'll try to fit you in. Only problem is I think the only 2 male characters left to rename are Cait Sith and Cid.

I'd make a good Cid. put it as "SleepAid" if you want something pronounceable.

1690, but scorpio's alright I guess, use 87x as Cait Sith since he was kind of like a bad guy, he was a turk but then turned good and that's about as close as you get, as for me, I never rename my characters on FF7, I hate renaming them, it makes the game fake....Red XII? How'd I get Red XII? Even though he was part of my ultimate team in my ultimate FF7 game, how come I didn't get like Vincent, he's so kewl lol...Nanaki....Wtf.....Man, I'd rather be Tifa, at least then I could play with myself lmao...

Vincent is so easy to get! And I already asked to be Tifa but nooo, I get to be RedXII, well let me tell you, I'm makin a new game on FFMQ and 87x can be a WM :P lol

I know it wasnt hard to get Vincent. I just leveled-up out side of the Village until I was able to fight that creepy monster.

I'm naturally good at FF's and so I just sat there getting hit, using Hi Potions, climhazzard, greased lightning, clear tranquil, bio 2 and thunder and fire I think when he was in his vulnerable magic mode, if he wasn't in that mode I was fucked..... Or was it the other way around?...... Nah, I was fucked if he was in his club you to death mode....
