Re: Pokemon Heart Gold Run
isnt that the whole point of having people pick what pokemon you use for you lol. to make it a hard/fun experienceAnyone who has heard me rant about pokemon
knows I ****ing HATE Gyarados
Also, it was suggested that the top 6 pokemon voted on be used, would everyone prefer that? I was planning on doing it on a run of pokemon Pearl after this one assuming this went well, but I wanted to avoid the idea of a team like:
Febass
Magikarp
Dunsparce
Mr. Mime
Gyarados
Porygon
Some wonky ass shit like that

Re: Pokemon Heart Gold Run
Ah, so like the Scramble Challenge.
I'm gonna say Cyndaquil (hi Colt) due to Sprout Tower going down like a bitch for easy SpAtk training for the little fire-type that comes in handy later on, particularly against Pryce. You'll probably want to do the ingame Onix trade for extra help against Falkner, though, as Rocky also pays big dividends against the next two gyms.
As for the other one, definitely get a Wooper. Quagsire has boatloads of HP, is an HM slave, and single-handedly smashes the crap out of Jasmine with that STAB combination. Water-types almost always get a lot of mileage out of using Ice Beam for coverage as well.Last edited by igotrhythm; 09-15-2012, 03:39 PM.Originally posted by thesunfanI literally spent 10 minutes in the library looking for the TWG forum on Smogon and couldn't find it what the fuck is this witchcraft IGR

Re: Pokemon Heart Gold Run
You do have that point, but I'm not gonna lie I'd have to make a list of pokemon I don't want to use, and magicarp / feebas would totally be on it. They're just utterly unreliable and more opt to annoy me than be fun.
It's not 100% about being practical, the practical part comes from my assembly of the team from the available options, not because you think the pokemon is a good logical choiceAh, so like the Scramble Challenge.

But all of these Pokemon when I am done will probably be imported into my Pokemon white game
Also, you don't need onyx to beat falkner, only pussys use that onyx
real men use only what nature hands them
and onyx is not found in nature at that point yet unless you waste a lot of time in the first cave I think
don't care for hm slaves, I felt as if the idea of keeping pokemon int he box for HM purposes was assumed
minus fly of course, you don't actually need it to complete the game but surf and waterfall you do ect
Edit: Considering allowing 2 per person if this doesn't pick up more.Comment
