Yeah no, if I die to making an error myself I can take that in stride, but if I die to Blizzard's servers being pieces of shit I think I would lose it lol
I'd much rather play Hardcore offline... ohwait

It's pretty much the only way to die in HC because it spikes so often. It bothers me less and less every time because I'm beginning to suspect endgame is boring. Nightmare and Hell are the best parts of the game.

The game has piles of problems beyond the connection requirements and lack of LAN. Maybe 5% of the game is randomly generated? Weaksauce, I really expected more variety. The bosses suck except for Butcher and Belial, and the best dungeon is the timed dungeon in Act 2 but there's only one of those. If they released DLC with nothing but timed dungeons I'd buy it instantly.

Damn, so I made it to Act 3 Hell and was doing fairly well when I ran into a champion golgor. Vortex, plague, and waller maybe? Anyway I was just thinking that shit was getting kinda dicey and I should bail when I get vortex'd and then my screen immediately goes dark because Windows had to update.

Oh well. Another day, another wizard

So I got a wiz to level 10 so I could unlock hardcore mode, made a hardcore DH and got fucen wrecked by Butcher. Hardcore mode is so much fun though, everything you do feels like it has more meaning, since there's death around every corner (or something gay like that xd)

Played a little more hardcore this evening, beat Butcher and went to Khasim Outpost in act 2, almost got to lvl 20.
As suspected the only time I went under 50% was when I had a like 5 sec lag spike.
Blizzard really needs to fix that shit, because it's not a problem on my end (game was running smoothly until a recent patch, actually)


My goal was to do all of act 1 without taking damage, almost got it. Took 24 damage from activating the Scoundrel event by accident (oops), then made it until a little bit before the spider queen boss before really getting hit a few times. Think I took like 90 or so damage from a spider ambush that I didn't smokescreen in time.
No damage after that until the Jailer area, got hit by a champ pack a few times in there while releasing the prisoners. Then had my bad lag spike on floor 3 before the Butcher and nearly died, no damage on Butcher himself.

Overall, DH survival tools are stupidly overpowered for normal mode lol

True story bro. You can't mess up 1 time if you don't have the gear for it, harsh but it's the game Auction House has more ''accessible'' prices since very few players play it + no real money currency. Sheesh if there were real money in hardcore I'd sell lvl40 rares for fkin 20$ per item.

To prevent monsters from being unintentionally kited into town from other areas of the game, portals have been placed at both ends of the bridge from New Tristram to The Weeping Hollow. Towns have always been intended to be a safe haven from combat, and this change will help keep the denizens of New Tristram safe from the dangers that lurk beyond its walls.

also minimum range on mortar increased. Yessssss. Crafting reworked to not be (as) shitty, reduced prices and material reqs all around.

Hell drops also buffed, which is great

High-end items (items level 61-63) will now drop in all Acts of Inferno and Acts III and IV of Hell difficulty
The new approximate drop rates are as follows:
Hell - Act III and Act IV
iLvl 61: 9%
iLvl 62: 1.9%
iLvl 63: 0%

aaaaaand the long-awaited attack speed nerf

+ Attack Speed bonus values on weapons and armor have been reduced by 50%

Magic Find will no longer be considered when looting objects in the environment such as chests, barrels, vases, pots, and corpses

what? why? obj's always have the worst loot, magic find helped make those actually worthwhile.

Destructible objects no longer have a chance to drop items, and will only have a small chance to drop gold when destroyed

Unique monsters in Hell and Inferno difficulty are no longer guaranteed to drop two Magic items when slain
