So has much really changed with the addition of seasons? I know there is a few new items/balance changes but ultimately there is nothing new to do right?
Apparently the gods of loot want me to play fire mage. Again.
I'll be using this to farm something more interesting (aka Tal's)
Still, pretty crazy you can get 5 pieces of a set that fast now.
Stats self-buffed: (for what that's worth)
I also have three ways to cheat death with this build (shoulder, Firebird, passive) before I actually die which is unnecessary but hilarious.

It's fun to have a fresh start and if you are like me and haven't played since before seasons, a LOT has changed balance-wise so you get new builds to play around with.
The game is still fundamentally the same though, yeah.
There's a Kadala simulator if you want to test your luck there. Pretty neat.

Best strat: enjoy the game, play what you feel like when you feel like it. Don't think about what you are doing or why, enjoy the gameplay, the artistry behind the stepfile, and enjoy the music.
When the game isn't fun for you anymore, take a break. It's not a job, nobody here is professional and getting paid to play and force themselves to constantly improve... it's a game.

Yeah, FFR is addicting...I don't think I'll get bored with this game unless I somehow become the best at it, which won't happen.
200,000 shards on 1h weapons, about 15 wands of Woh and only 1 Serpent sparker, despite the Woh being twice as rare.
Yep, sums up my season nicely. 4 Furnaces, 3 Wands of Woh, 3 Taskers, 3 Witching Hours @ Para 300. No Sparkers. Just waiting to get one and having it be complete shit, too.
I hear it's even worse for DH too this season, the probability of Ancient Krinder is so low it's not even worth gambling for. It's like buying lottery tickets. You're never going to win. And even if you do, there's no guarantee it rolls discipline.
I cried when I remembered I actually already have an ancient krinder from last season on my DH, only to realize it didn't roll discipline and I already rolled and gifted it. =/
Played Delsere's for all of 24 hours before I finished my Tal's set.
Holy shit Tal's is broken, at least with Delsere's I had to do a little work for my billion+ crits (get the enemies in slow time, stack triumvirate)
With Tal's you just roll your face over the keyboard and meteors randomly kill things for you. What the fuck
Explanations:
-shoulders because it's not a particularly important slot for the Tal's build and my Ancient Delsere's are far better than anything else I have
-offhand because using my Ancient offhand and Ancient Tal's gloves is actually better than using my shit-tier Tal's offhand and shit-tier Tasker and Theo. At least that's the case for farming T6 rifts where everything dies instantly anyway, will try TnT again in high grifts.
-gems are 3x offensive ones because Gizzard is for pussies (real reason is I literally haven't had time to level a defensive gem yet lol)
-weapon is pretty hawt :3 (could be hotter tho with attack speed, can't win everything)
Gizzard seems essential for higher GR if you want any sort of consistency. It's easy to stay alive with Gizzard since to can just heal while kiting. Without it I feel like with Tals there is nothing to save you and you have to hunt for skele rifts and that's about it.
That weapon is so gorgeous though.
Been playing my DH instead of wizard lately out of boredom, already almost as strong. Can tackle near 40 already even with some shit gear (bad weapon, int on rings). Gameplay with UE set is simple but fun.
