farming ghom now - using wildwood instead of sankis now..

also got some set pieces (blackthorne, invoker shoulders)

i'm thinking of copying the thorns build that does like 30m per thorns

I think it's an upgrade, but still unsure lol. They just nerfed Frozen Orb too so, it's probably safe to say it's better now.

got this yesterday runnin with poison and hi19, originally I was gonna reroll level requirement but I didn't like the other options, so I rerolled fire damage and got lightning damage (running lightning monk)

I'm not so sure weapon element is even applied to any kind of modifier. If you have +20% lightning damage somewhere and you are using a fire ability then it just does nothing for you even if your weapon has a lightning element.

Pretty sure it is useless besides the visual effect.

It's not that obvious... I'm sure some people think damage bonuses to the element that their weapon has would increase their damage.

The fact that you changed the element on your weapon to a "lightning build" kind of implies this.

If you have lightning damage on your weapon and use a physical skill, and have %lightning modifier on another piece of gear, it WILL increase your damage.

Only on physical skills, and even then, not all of them.

Like 85% of the abilities in the game are not physical. Haven't played monk though. Kind of disappointing that it doesn't increase your weapons damage, but I guess that would kind of be double dipping on element damage percentage increases.
