btw, why does barb feel so weak? monks/dh/wiz seem to have very fast source regen, generating fury is so hard now w/o crits giving fury

I got nearly everything from chests and not monsters. Normal chests too, the big ones have garbage all the time somehow. Ideally you want to farm with multiple people and not alone, it speeds up the process and people who have same main stats as you so you dont get rolls with the wrong stat.

That only matters for rares though, and not legendaries.
