Ok I don't know if any of you have this problem, but on Windows XP for the PC version of Final Fantasy VII, on some newer computers the game crashes at the Chocobo race part. I discovered this quite a few months ago but it wasn't until yesterday I found a patch to fix this, so I just wanted to share it with you guys if you have the same problem.
