Flaw went to a whole crapload of people with his 'list' thing. Forced them to claim a role, and they did. Problem is, he made it all up. I was talking with him yesterday, and told him 'I want to come up with a role like stoic did in politics' and explained it to him. I said 'I want to come out as something and get things started with blues working together.'

We then were thinking of a role, and he suggested his 'eavesdropper.' While I was out, he posted on the thread about his 'role' and PMed me saying not to say anything about it.

Hey, don't say anything about my made up role yet. I'm going to go to the forums with a revised list and ask everyone to come to me, hopefully people not retarded will come with their real role, and if there is a wolf he will be obvious. I'll talk about it later, just asking that you don't reveal to anyone else what I did just yet.

Flaw sent me, before he died, all of the convos he had with the people he talked to, because I was the most convincing, I'm assuming, and because I talked with him about it beforehand.

I've got a good idea on a couple of wolves, but nothing entirely concrete as of right now, but I've a couple questions:

Would it be advantageous to post what I think are some of the roles that appear in the game? (based on what people told flaw)

There's two affects:
1: the wolves know what's out there, since they know which are real and fake
2: the blues that I don't know can know what's out there, and possibly some collaboration can start.

I'm surely not going to post names with the roles, and I'm not posting what roles there are (assumed to be) until I've got the support of the majority of people.

Well, I've said it before, and I will say it again: more information for the humans is always a good thing. Furthermore, information is more valuable for the humans than it is for the wolves, as the wolves start the game with a great information base than the humans do. Thus, public information of nearly any sort is better for the humans than it is for the wolves.

The only reason I would say to not post all the info you have publicly is if you have enough information to form some sort of reliable alliance, but I highly doubt that is the case here.

I don't understand what the question is here. Y/N posting of ... what people said their roles are? Just the roles that exist? I don't see any harm in that, the wolves won't gain anything from knowing what kind of roles people have, as long as no names are attached.

In other news, I'm going to be in Stafford until Sunday with limited computer access. I can almost guarantee I won't be online for more than 10-20 minutes at a time, but I'll be able to check the forums at least once or twice a day, so I'll still manage to get a vote in.

If there's a seer, wolves have to watch out. Knowing for sure makes things easier.
If there's a guardian, they have to not attack the most public leader.
If there's a vigi, parity has to be taken into consideration.
It's not the most gigantic advantage, but it help them. I'm just trying to make sure we're all on the same level before I go throwing info to the wolves.

Knowing the list still exists could be a continued asset to us, and something to work off of. If it's gone, we're kinda back at square 1 with a wolfing to go off of.

There was no list.

Flaw spoke to everyone telling them that they were in the list. Wolves caught on, and now he's dead. DBP has the logs of all conversations flaw held while executing this plan.

Unless you have the phone conversation saved... I'm not entirely ready to take your word for it that he wasn't convincing. Being able to tell whether or not someone is lying over the phone is entirely different then being able to tell whether or not someone is lying over AIM.
