Unexplained votes, unexplained suspicions, posts completely devoid of substance. FoJaR strikes me as actively trying to look human with things like suspicions and such, but doing a very bad job of it. It's like he doesn't even really care. Now, if a human didn't care about the game, he would simply be inactive. However, FoJaR might be facing pressure from his teammates to step it up a bit, and this pathetic showing is the best that he can get himself to muster up.

However, the really damning part is this:

fiction is a wolf.

and i'm pretty sure that stella was an illegal vigi that went to one of the wolves, was used and then disposed of.

it makes sense, and because fiction refuses to even consider it, i think i'm hitting close to the bone.

This is simply one of the worst reasons I have ever seen given for a serious vote in TWG. FoJaR's logic relies on a single, specific possibility being the case when this particular game offers a near infinite array of possibilities, even if limited to possibilities that could explain the double kill last night. I can't blame Fiction much for not considering it - as I implied in my earlier post, a vigilante role in this game would be mechanically awkward, for several reasons:

- The game started with an even number of players. A vigilante, in this case, could force the game to end with a knife in box scenario, which no one wants to see.

- The vigi generally requires posting his kill publicly in the thread. That doesn't really work with a blind game like this. That leaves the possibility for the vigi to have a one shot kill during any one night. But ultimately, this is kind of boring. Part of the fun of the vigi is people going "zoimg it's the vigi."

- Why would the vigi, assuming he is on the side of the humans, target either Stoic of dbp? Any intelligent human would be loathe to see all of the info dbp had be lost, and Stoic had done nothing wolfish so far. Sure, you could say that the vigi was coerced by the wolves, but I have a difficult time believing that the vigi would first reveal himself to a wolf, and then for the wolves to be impressive enough persuationists to convince the vigi to do something as moronic as this.

But anyway, this is an incredibly poor, beyond grasping at straws reason to vote for Fiction. And you know who typically have incredibly poor reasons for voting for people? Wolves, since they are forced to make up reasons for their votes, as opposed to humans, who typically have some form of real suspicion to go on.

1. there are tons of games with vigi roles, the game always starts with even numbers

2. the vigi almost NEVER posts the kill in the thread for it to happen. also, illegal roles help to keep people from being confirmed in thread. that's the only reason for making roles illegal; so that they cant be 100% confirmed.

3. if stella WAS the vigi, it's not too far out there that she'd be manipulated by a good wolf into doing something stupid. in fact, fiction even said:

I've been informed from a couple of players that the vigi no longer works the same as I am used to - I really have been gone from this game for too long, it seems.

Anyway, Stella being a vigi is certainly a viable possibility, which is to say that it is possible. However, I think that it is highly unlikely. Certainly, it is unlikely enough that making a vote on the assumption that it is true is a completely moronic thing to do. You are grasping at straws with that vote, and hence you get my vote for the day.

Before we can come to any real conclusion on the state of the opposition in this game (wolves, rival wolves, SK, vigi, who knows what else), we need more information. And unless someone out there is withholding information from us, we really have no choice but to wait for another night to pass and to see what happens.

So I spent some of my morning re-going over the thread with the intent to look at people flying under the radar.

I come back with these people:

I haven't played with larrikin, psycho, or omega before, But I have played with mamimi and JWC. I'm a bit suspicious of Mamimi, but I'm starting to think she's just been rather intimidated by all the big names in the game. I remember her telling me in some random AIM convo before the game had started that she didn't want to move up to TWG because she didn't think she was good enough. Thusly she's been sitting back more than ususal.

JWC however, is playing his wolf game. He's intentionally flying under the radar, and adding nothing to the game. All of his posts are "yeah I'm here, and I've been reading the thread. Just posting so you guys know i'm not inactive"

JWC is always like that regardless of his role, though. If inactivity and flying under the radar are your reasons for pin pointing wolves may as well get jurs, omega, and mamimi in the mix as well.
