Okay. I found a solution that seems to work and it's so fucking dumb. I have my phone on my cup of coffee and it seems to be working fairly consistently now.

That's amazing, whenever I find a consistent form of WiFi anywhere unfamiliar I do just try to keep my phone or whatever's connecting to it stationary so that there's no chance the slightest bump will disconnect it
