also to clarify re:haku

i'm not saying that i think haku is all of a sudden hard wolf or anything, i do think that there can be less of an instant haku town clear.

@devonin yeah i agree that drawing so much attention to yourself is dangerous as a wolf, but i think the risks are highly mitigated in such a large player set, and in the setting of a mystery game. I think gaming the mechanics right off the bat, especially when if wolf, you have knowledge of multiple other roles on your side, is easier to do as wolf.

i think i haven't passed full judgment, because that ambiguity of what the thing does towards soundwave seriously rubbed me the wrong way, however i do think that this is a more town haku move than wolf haku (flashy big self important moves). I'm just really on the fence about that ambiguity betraying a different agenda than town hak

For crying out loud just go on with the insta we have like 10 other game days lol, and that's only if shit hits the fan.

Haku, H&H and Gold Stinger all voted for Soundwave, presumably because of suspicion around denying Haku's claim of sending an item.

Not for me. I voted to even out the votes so that funnygirl wouldn't stand out so much. Voted based on voter pool mostly, except dragon was far more of an actual target for me based on what I said beforehand.

I came back 15 mins before what I assumed was EOD, but Xiz had just ended the day for whatever raisins.

heres the thing. there are night actions that happened, as well as the whole game going on right now. people haven't popped in thread yet and they might have more useful information. i'm not saying we wait the full 2 days, but we atleast need to let everyone chime in.

- assume sunfan is a wolf

- wolves can chat in day time

- mid game, sunfan notices dragonmega's posts and realizes dragonmega is not playing to their town meta

- sunfan alerts his teammates that dragonmega is not playing within their town meta and that there is the possibility they're the lone wolf

- sunfan chills on dragonmega and tries recruiting after eod

- rest of team follows suit

so you're implying the rest of his team would also be on the wagon when they shouldn't, like i said before

Also let's clarify something: Is it ok to suspect which characters people have picked? I know sunfan is a huge tool and decided it was bad to hardclaim our waifus/husbandos, but this would make the game simply not fun.

I have a hunch for a few people there, and given that my role is very much well known, combined with the flips we're having, I am 99% sure all the roles are relevant to the chosen characters.

So we could figure out who everyone might have picked and based our investigation on it at least partially. I understand if you guys decide it's not fair at all to play this way, but the possibility of using it far too game-changing to avoid at least discussing it.

Im half way through trying to read these goddamn posts. Someone get me some water.

My only thoughts right now are just gut thoughts
-Shadow seems town lean just because it seems more thought out, less derpy/defensive than jTWG, but that could also just be understanding the game better/me being tired
-Haku I have to hope is town because everyone else seems on board and I've never seen them play before so I have no idea what to read into that much from them

God this is hard to process. Trying to nitpick or see what doesnt seem town aligned is bursting me.

I cant wait for these next 15 pages to turn my mind into stew.

sunfan isn't being a tool, it's in OP:

- It is heavily discouraged talking about your role name

in previous mystery/anon games, there were roles that let you kill based on finding out other role names, and roles that were looking for specific roles etc. this early is never a good idea to massclaim because we don't know mechanics, or whether the mass claim leads to a mass grave

Well, that's kind of what I meant lol. I just interpreted it as "we must not" and I thought that was dumb. Of course I think it's optimal to at least hear out everyone, but waiting just for the sake of waiting sucks a lot imo.
