So here's my role.

A one shot bodyguard.

That's it.

As you can see, that is a terrible role. Not only did i only get one guard, but i would just die in their place.

Before fully thinking of a plan I let it slip that my role was bad (I think cel quoted the post earlier but I called it janky.)

Then I revised my outlook. Since I was forced to claim protective but wisely omitted my exact role, I could get extra value from my role by projecting it as more powerful than it was.

My first forray into this was reinforcing my guard of mml (the one time I actually used my power n1.) At this point it was obvious to me i was being left alive for a mislynch later, so i dropped a hint about my role being more powerful that i didn't think would fuck with town too badly, all in the name of drawing a night kill and sparing our actually useful blues who outed themselves. (Cel and fg)

Then I pushed the envelope.


I came up with a plan. I could do double duty and cover both sides of the spectrum. I would fake a guard on fg and act like it would be unstoppable. If they bought it and they killed me instead of fg then more the better.

However the claim was also a trap (the booby prize). If they ended up just killing fg and running into no resistance they would probably come after me about it during the day for "not guarding fg." There was a chance that town would do this too but I think that town not being cognizant of what actually took place would assume a roleblock. If the wolves role blocked me and killed funny, their bias of actually knowing what happend wold likely stop them from calling me out.

It was a mental trap of sorts, but it was obviously far from foolproof. I completely misunderstood cels role, which would throw a wrench in this plan and I probably would have tried something different had I known it. I can only assume wolves knew as well.

So I was basically trading on bad info from the beginning.

My best hope is that a majority of town believes me and forces wolves to night kill me for being confirmed, shielding any prs we have left.
