This first event is simple; pick your favorite girl! The top three choices will advance to round two after 24 hours have passed. All players who chose a waifu that was not in the top three are eliminated from the event, as well as anyone that did not submit a waifu.
Round two is the same as round one, but only the top two choices advance to the final round. Again, players who choose the least popular waifu are eliminated, as is the least popular waifu. Players do not have to choose the same waifu as they did in round one.
Round three pits the remaining players against one another to determine which of the final two waifus is the true Best Girl. Those who have voted for the true Best Girl will advance to a sudden death tiebreaker that shall remain unannounced for the time being.
I mean, maybe it's me and I like reading things simple, but it doesn't sound like anything negative can happen if we choose to pick one girl each time. We would want everyone in the game to be at the final round (and then do whatever the heck the tiebreaker is), no?

Explain why that increase odds of winning the event vs stacking votes.
tbh if it's all stacking votes, then we guarantee that the majority, if not all the playerbase will make it through to the final round
otherwise, there's a random distribution of people voting, where in the end, assuming 100% perfect distribution of alignments voting, we'll have 1/5 of the playerbase in the final round from how the event works
it's not a matter of increasing town odds of winning the event, but imo the general principle of having only 1 winner in an event where there's 24 people, versus 4-5 people. The final round details have not been announced, and taking the best route is literally not knowable by anyone except sunfan/star
in the end i'm also sure that people (like me) have thrown a vote already blah blah
i do dislike that the thread argument is generally towards something that is still a crapshoot in terms of rng manipulation though

Pretty much any bastard role. If a role feels like its something star and I wouldn't put in the game, then its probably not in the game.
Reason why I'm thinking simply is because OP states there's no bastard roles. Therefore it's more than likely that this game is not bastardized at all.

don't want to step too far into the angleshooting territory, but i trust that given the amount of time that was spent balancing this game, that it's a legitimate setup
because tbh even the inclusion of events is definitely a good way to increase thread activity in an interesting way

You could be right. But like, you gotta admit it's totally possible for there to be a role thats something like, any events if you do something like guess correctly how someone votes can grant you an additional killing / power of some sort.
But who knows
There could be a role thats amazing for town, guess the order of the top three or something and gain a free cop check or something.
Or none of this is right. Im currently alligned to it being more harmful to coordinate then beneficial

i don't believe this is the case, because events will only happen with >=18 people.
i'm actually unsure if you really believe such a role would exist, because it would also say about the setup that the nature of the events are all very similar and don't have variance. while that's going to be seen in the future, i (again) don't think this is the case, and it kinda feels like you're pushing the right mindset (just fucking vote for your waifu), but for more manipulative reasons imo

I thinking that you're overthinking. It's something I do sometimes with these mystery games, but I don't think it's gonna be something crazy like what you're proposing.
Maybe it's also because I was doing some deep thinking in some other mystery game, and then it turned out to be nothing at all.
*shrug*
