I just have to say.
Hans, if you hadn't opened your big mouth and said you had known who the doctor was, we would have had Xiz D3. :PThe renegade has betrayed me.Comment

Re: TWG CIX: Lames' Hosting a TWG Ball Post-Game (Wolves win)
no, because it was probably the main reason why the humans all did so badly. the wolves were being smart and the blues were being dumb. i'm not going to beat around the bush and tell them they did a good job when its blatantly obvious that they need to be in jTWGs and learn how to actually play one of these games before coming in and just screwing things up because of careless mistakes and bad posting.

i'm not saying the wolves didn't do a good job. they really did. but they also got really lucky that both of the blues were bad players.

Re: TWG CIX: Lames' Hosting a TWG Ball Post-Game (Wolves win)
in TWG/Mafia, the blues are supposed to be a huge support for the humans. they were a hindrance. i'm not going to sit here and just be like "yeah the only reason we lost was because the wolves did suuuch a good job" also dont tell me what i can't do. thanks

Re: TWG CIX: Lames' Hosting a TWG Ball Post-Game (Wolves win)
I agree, when I found out my role I knew the humans were doomed from the start
Regardless, good job wolves, good job everyone, hope to play again in a future game!Comment

Re: TWG CIX: Lames' Hosting a TWG Ball Post-Game (Wolves win)
it's your job to separate actual wolves from confused humans. that has nothing to do with who's in the player pool.no, because it was probably the main reason why the humans all did so badly. the wolves were being smart and the blues were being dumb. i'm not going to beat around the bush and tell them they did a good job when its blatantly obvious that they need to be in jTWGs and learn how to actually play one of these games before coming in and just screwing things up because of careless mistakes and bad posting.
making more convincing arguments might have also have gotten humans to rally together. there were some good early reads, but as I was spectating, I saw nothing which I think would have compelled me. maybe Hans's day 1 post to lynch sunfan, that's about it.
imo new players learn faster when they play with vets, as long as no one quits after getting berated by upset humans who had an off game.Comment

Re: TWG CIX: Lames' Hosting a TWG Ball Post-Game (Wolves win)
You know I just realized these night actions:
Night 1
Xiz kills Charu
Guest Jails Jurs
underscore guy guards Guest
Bynary kills Charu
Night 2
Guest Jails Bynary
Xiz kills underscore guy
underscore guy guards guest
Night 3
Guest jails Hans
Bynary kills Guest
We were going to kill Jurs night 1... but ended up swapping it
We were going to havy Bynary send the kill night 2... but ended up swapping it
Funny how that went down

Re: TWG CIX: Lames' Hosting a TWG Ball Post-Game (Wolves win)
yes it is our job, but a bunch of humans being careless and posting in stupid manners or being inactive + blues who don't actually help out much + wolves who actually know what they're doing makes it pretty damn difficult for the 3 or 4 humans around to actually separate the wolves from humans. there weren't many convincing arguments because people weren't around to talk/weren't responding, people were making really bad slip ups that revealed their blue roles, and the wolves actually knew how to play that to their advantage. it ended up getting the humans to just go "lets kill dumb people" because doing dumb things was some of the only sketchy shit going on at some points.it's your job to separate actual wolves from confused humans. that has nothing to do with who's in the player pool.

new players should play the game, but when there are 3 or 4 "new" players in the game and two of them are blues, it screws everyone else over. they should learn how to play the game and maybe think of how to strategize by getting experience in a jTWG. for example, had Guest and ____ been afrobean and vendetta, this game would have gone much differently.

Re: TWG CIX: Lames' Hosting a TWG Ball Post-Game (Wolves win)
Manti and Hans won't roll blue every game. in a game full of Mantis and Hanses maybe you and I roll blue, and even though we've played our fair share of twg maybe the perception is that we're dragging our team down.
who cares? it's a game. after fucking up maybe we learn a thing or two and then top the pros next game. I like that better than having this huge barrier between new players and this elitist group who can only be bothered to play twg with each other.
edit: underscoreman I'ma hit you up on skype soon we can talk twg
