PLEASE someone else run.... Mini's game sucks, and the last time he hosted he fucked the game up.
MiniNeo
So yeah. Regular game.
11 Humans
1 Master Wolf
2 Regular Wolves
1 Seer
1 Psychic
and
*GASP* one new role!
At the start of the game, one non-red (humans, seer, psychic) will be randomly selected to be 'invincible'. That is, he/she can survive one (1) attack from the wolves. When he/she survives it will be announced just like a successful guarding. After that the power is just taken away and he/she becomes a regular green/blue.
The game story would be based on... I dunno. Probably something like the underground camp story I wrote for the jtwg a few games back.
Oh, and that new role, feel free to find any flaws/suggest a variation of it to me via pm/aim.
Standard fare for the most part. 14 people. 3 wolves (1 master) and a seer. The guardian role, however, is being replaced by the wolfsbane role. Whoever the lucky person with the wolfsbane is cannot be wolf-killed because, well, wolves, wolfsbane, etc. Yeah. If they are attacked, everyone will know who it is the next day. Now of course, this means they are a definite 100% confirmed human and will last until the end of the game because not even you guys are that stupid to vote them off, but the flipside is that with no guardian everyone else is open season. Be careful who you tell who is what.
Note that the wolfsbane doesn't protect the user against being voted off, so if you lynch them accidentally, then you get one giant "OOPS" stamped on your forehead.
The theme will be a Pani Poni Dash! theme, and once again you'll all get individual characters. This time however I'm just going to assign them since maybe one of you that will sign up for this has seen the show.
Tass question/comment: So both of you have the no-guardian "wolfsbane" role, only in Kilga's case the person can never die, and in Mini's case its a one-time-free-pass. Also, Kilga... why 14 and not 16? Just because the past 2 games have had 14 instead of 16 is not a good reason. The past two games have not had 3 wolves either. Also, no psychic? PS - I call dibs on wolfsbane.
nForcer
Boring, boring. Let's do something different for a change, shall we?
This TWG will be Phoenix Wright themed. 16 players, 1 guardian, 1 seer, and 3 wolves, one master. Seems like a standard game, but this will include a new role, which for the sake of the theme, I will call the PROSECUTOR.
The Prosecutor is neither human nor wolf. Each night, beginning with Night 1, the prosecutor must call a "witness," who will be added to the prosecution team. If the Prosecutor can call three witnesses and keep them all alive for one day, the prosection team wins, and all remaining humans and wolves lose. Of course, there are a few loose ends with this role, so I'll fix them up for best understanding.
- The Prosecutor can only call plain humans as witnesses. He will told that his choice failed, and nothing more, if he chooses a wolf or special role.
- The Prosecutor is immune to wolfings. If a wolf kill fails, they will be told whether it was due to a guarding, or if they tried to hit the Prosecutor. The only way to kill the Prosecutor is by a lynch.
- The Prosecutor's picks are not told who picked them, only that they were picked.
- If the seer tries to see the Prosecutor, they die. Oops.
- Humans will win before the prosecution team wins. If the humans lynch the last wolf on the same day the Prosecutor has called a third witness, the prosecution team loses and the humans win.
- Members of the prosecution team are not humans. They revert back to human status if killed, or if the Prosecutor dies.
If there's something else that seems to be dangling there, please let me know and I'll clarify it, or modify the rules a bit.
Needless to say, this game embodies a lot of mystery and hectic strategizing, especially because there is no way to know how close the prosecution team may be to winning. Heavy activity is the only way to make this game work.
Fish's Sleepover part game. He told me over AIM some changes he was making, but I closed the window. So... if mead wants to post his changes, go for it.
To summarize:
MiniNeo: 16 players, 3 wolves w MW, seer, psychic, one-time wolfsbane
Kilga: 14 players, 3 wolves w MW, seer, permanent wolfsbane nForcer: 16 players, 3 wolves w MW, seer, guardian, prosecutor (w/ future witnesses)
Mead: sleepover game... didn't both re-checking the thread, so I have no idea what the features of this game are. All I remember is not liking the idea too much because of holes or something.
fhqwhgads703: 16 players, 3 wolves, one seer, wolves can can choose to kill as many or as few players found in the tent
*** Auto-response sent to fhqwhgads703: Arcade games with rankings! http://www.ffrcade.com
fhqwhgads703: Seer is informed of role by getting that person to tent with them
fhqwhgads703: There can be as many people in the tent as desired
fhqwhgads703: Oh, 1 of the wolves is MW
fhqwhgads703: thurrr
fhqwhgads703: That's the canges nessecary
fhqwhgads703: changes*
Question/Suggestion to nForcer: I was running some numbers on the probability for the prosecutor winning, and it seems to be in the 10% range... my suggestion would be to change it from needing 3 witnesses to survive 1 day, make it 2 witnesses need to survive 2 days together, and the prosecutor can never call more than 2 witnesses at a time. So it is still possible for a day 3 win for the prosecution, but the odds are slightly better. The problem is that if the prosecution does NOT win by day 3/4, it is nearly impossible for the to do so at all.
Also, I posed questions to others... Kilga's answer to my questions to him were that he felt the wolfsbane was powerful enough to merit less players.
Guess I should open this up though...
my vote goes to nForcer, assuming he properly addresses my suggestion above.
nForcer. Mini's isn't interesting enough (and I'd rather see him host another jTWG before doing one here), Kilga's is a close second, and I remember mead's game getting all sorts of holes torn open when it was discussed.
Kilga. I like the wolf's bane thing. We've never done that, have we? Anyway, nforcer's is too out of the ordinary, and mini's is like a watered down version of Kilga's.
