It is completely unfair to count a victory one way or the other for last "game." I mean, how can you have a victory in an incomplete game? How can you go onto the next game with a hole in the place of 22?

it doesn't matter if it was a victory or a loss... that's not what determines game number in my mind. That was XXII, this will be XXIII.
Plus when we talk about it it will be lame to be like "oh yeah remember that one game with the swearing somewhere between XXI and XXII?" -
