So I've been thinking of an evolution of a twg game (YoshL and I worked on this a bit last year) but if anyone has seen '12 angry men' or played any 'Phoenix wright' game - doing a game like that.

- So 12 players
- You are each given a clue (some are fake)
- You need to figure out who did the crime
- Could be just one team, everyone works together, or you have the "wolf" team as the people trying to fuck up the case for everyone

Instead of two sides, its more of a co-op type mystery game, but it requires a lot of setup.
If I persue this again, is this something that people would be interested in?

This sounds confusing as fuck for a twg, but I'd definitely be interested.

i would actually consider my specialty to be murder mystery detective fiction, so this idea sounds like fun

I could at least make suggestions for mechanics that would be tied to how the game is played, but not all the gimmicks and back workings.

Example of what I was thinking: the whole game lasts over X days. The detectives only have so many materials. Each phase. The detectives will vote on which type of investigation should be carried out in which location. Investigation types like fingerprinting, blood splatter, autopsy. They vote for each category and which detective investgates there (maybe?). Enemy team would have ways with screwing with unoccupied rooms and other things.

Just some random thoughts.

the final objective of the game i believe would be to find the truth, and achieve the proper result of the trial. The way the truth should be found is through the Prosecution and Defense attorney's effort to do their job properly. Prosecution should still try and convict the target, defense should still try and protect their target.

Investigators will be given handled in a first phase, where prosecution and defense take turns requesting the services of the detective serving the case. depending on the severity of the request, the detective may or may not be available for the following, or multiple following rounds of requests. In that case, a team may personally visit an area, and investigate some things themselves (may be turned away by police or detective or etc.) or they may request to question different people.

then after that's all done, trial happens, and the fun stuff begins
