Double protip: The more people choose to dislike my "aggressiveness" the more I have identified the people who suck anyways. People who don't understand the truths of life should definitely hate me. That's the kind of hate I love.

To Kommisar: Why yes, I do read what I write before I post. Would you like me to teach you how to read? (It'd be expensive).

Kommisar, I'd just like to say I completely apologize for everything I've said. I realize that I've been completely rash, since I didn't really fully understand your situation before. However, I have been enlightened, and my regret cannot be overstated.

I've attached the article in question.

Biologists Find Missing Link in Surprising Location

          Oct. 17, 2009.

          Senior Reporter Donald Westguard

A pair of Harvard evolutionary biologists reported today that the elusive missing link in the human evolutionary chain was discovered to be lurking on the interwebs. Biologists John Cho and Karen Price, both noted Harvard professors, announced to the press that the they came upon the creature in a popular website called flashflashrevolution.com.

“We were quite surprised,” remarked Cho. “For a long time we thought the solution would be deduced from anthropological data, but the answer was right under our noses the entire time.”

The solution turned out to lie in a popular member of the forum, posting under the alias “Kommisar[os]” (hereafter referred to as Subject A). Subject A exhibited an impressive number of human characteristics, but his masquarade as a homo sapien quickly was exposed under the scrutiny of the two biologists.

Dr. Price was the one to suggest that Subject A was not quite on the right point in the evolutionary timeline. “For one, his knowledge of the English language was too disjointed. He showed an ability to understand simple commands and showed a capacity to learn grammatical structure, but he could barely form full sentences of his own. His responses could mostly be construed as a series of guttural growls, quite reminiscent of a dog protecting his (or her) territory.”

Indeed, the ostensible lack of normal communication abilities was only the tip of the iceberg. Data gathered from Subject A’s participation on the forum showed a logical deficiency that placed his intelligence level at approximately the level of a four year old baboon’s. “In certain respects,” remarked Cho, “Subject A’s traits suggested that he actually belonged even farther back on the evolutionary timeline, but we concluded that his appearance, albeit slightly neanderthalish, supported the hypothesis that he was indeed the missing link.”

To Cho and Price’s surprise, Subject A was not the only one of his kind on the forum. The biologists quickly discovered that Subject A was merely regarded as leader of a group of specimens that exhibited similar characteristics.

“Subject A would issue short commands and these others would obediently follow. In fact, it seems that the obedience afforded to him was almost blind.” Cho attributed this trait to the evolutionary advantage of blind submissiveness. The existence of an authority figure kept the social framework of the community intact, due to the observable fact that submissiveness naturally leads to cooperation (albeit often misguided cooperation).

As to the fate of Subject A, Cho announced that he would not be taken in for study. “After all, it’s much more fascinating to study the specimen in his own natural environment,” Hooven said. “Furthermore, if we were to attempt to imprison the subject in a closed, civilized environment, his body might respond negatively, not being used to such an environment, and shut down. We would like to keep Subject A alive for as long as possible for the benefit of science. At the very least, he does not seem to be a danger to society at present, although he is quite stupid.” Cho finished this last statement with a wry smile.

Certainly, such a discovery was surprising, but it also raises interesting questions in general. If these creatures are found in such mundane locations, are there more of them amongst us? Cho and Price seem skeptical, but they have not disregarded this possibility. However, even if this possibility comes to be true, Cho and Price would like to reassure the public of their safety.

“Once again, these are not dangerous creatures; they will not hurt you,” Price reassured. “However, interaction with these specimens is not recommended, as it is highly unlikely they will understand what you are trying to convey. Do not talk to them, do not try to pet them, and certainly do not feed them. They are best left to themselves.”

Thankfully for modern science, this is a much more interesting find than a mere gorilla.

Once again, my apologies. Now that I am up to date about these "special" circumstances, I will be sure to put everything I say into context from now on.

Oh no anger here - just smug condescension.

And, of course, a certain level of scientific professionalism that allows me to sympathize.
