Head over to the FFR Batch Forum for all the details on how you can get your file into the game. The Artist Permissions forum section will help you find out if FFR has permission to use the song your file goes with.
and besides my files are incredibly simple; I'd be surprised if anybody ever told me I was being "too technical" since that's what I try hardest to avoid.
He didn't say it was a good file, he said the song Six is an example of the rock/metal music that he would pay attention to when it comes to Stepmania, at least that's what I think he meant.
Ossa is pretty much on the money. The song, the file, everything about it flowed beautifully in my perspective. There were some gay parts like the jumpstream in the middle which I can't hit and probably will never be able to decently. I dont know how else to explain it. Although im sure it was mainly the song that got me hyped up (Everytime I play it, I feel I can beat the **** out of Godzilla). To me, the song has to be what I like to listen to. Six was a fun file to me and I dont see myself getting tired of the file. That to me is a good file regardless anyone elses opinion. It may be selfish on my part to think that way but who isn't selfish when it comes to what they like. I dont feel Im saying anything different here.
Moches: I dont think I was saying anything overly critical. As a matter of fact, for a stepartist that has been in the business to only churn out a collab with kommi "Nows the ****ing Time" and also going on about 8 months consecutivly sending Drop and other files doesn't exactly classify myself as anyone note worthy in the stepmania world. But I know what I want in files escpecially files to songs that I actually enjoy playing and enjoy listening. Ur files are about like that. The songs you chose would be something that I would also experiment with as well. Of course I keep envisioning different ways to step the files you release, but thats me. Ur right.
Kommi: I like ur old school ****. Im not a big fan of gayass technical dumps. Partly due because Im not that good at SM (Im still decent enough though to enjoy hard dumps) Im just not a fan of alot of the songs you step, hence my comment.
But ever since my computer issues, I havn't been churning anything out. Thx to Who_cares and Blu, my problems are fixed (I hope) and Im hoping to do something.
Pat: Drop needs a V2. Definatly a more technical one at least considering even Kommi's version left out a lot of decenlty obveious sounds and melodies. The reason why my file has gone through so many revisions was not only because of improvement, but also because of a about 2-3 month fluctuations of FFR judges who said one thing about the file, me making those corrections and the new judges saying different things about the file which contradicted with the previous judges. To me, it was a teeter totter. I was going back and forth and wasn't getting anywhere. Im sure you have gone through that process before. But, there is nothing I can do about it. I just have to make corrections and sen them in hoping to god someone likes what I did. Thats an unfortunate reality which I chose to take in this industry.
Also concerning about the concept of a good file, there is no such thing. What makes a good file to someone makes a laughable file to another. Its like argueng about morals and religion, nothing gets done. Lets just leave it at that.
Dude, believe me when I say it's not too big of a deal. I think your opinion is just as valid as anybody else's so it's cool. Since I enjoy my own files that's all that matters to me.
Oh and Summer Jam wasn't horrible...it was actually sort of fun, in a KBCIII kind of way. Sort of like something boomba would have made. And I love boomba's stuff.
