the title has nothing to do with how difficult it is thank you.
also, i have been playing FFR/SM for about 5 years now. i play 3 finger spread really well and trying to switch to 4 would take to long and wouldnt be worth it. i was simply making my comments on the songs in general. that doesnt mean i cant pass them.

Re: DARK CHANCELLORS PACK RELEASED (formerly rfpack2)

          xpost kinda

A Lie: Heavy: Was kinda fun, easy file. It’s kind of hard to hold someone’s interest with a file like this, so it was a little boring, but kinda fun.
Edit: I’m assuming this is a copy of Heavy with mines. Mines are fun, but a little annoying, but that’s bias I guess.

Anisakis: Beginner: I tend to not like files that start off with a jump at every 8th with some hands interspersed, haha. But that part was short and the stream parts after were kinda fun, if really really challenging. Bursts are kinda gay. It’s a really hard file with all those jumpstreams, for good players rofl. Mines are whatever.
Heavy: Same as beginner with holds instead of bursts. I guess fine lol, but a little bs, in terms of repetition and stuff.

Banbatsu Kairaku Riron: Heavy: I really really enjoyed this file. It was fun, short, seemed accurate, had some nice syncing, jacks were cool. Wasn’t too challenging. Nice.

Battle With Saruin: Heavy: Really fun. Some nice syncing here. Not stepped to layering but rather to sounds.

Bedtime Story: Heavy: Everything bored me. The steps, the song. Which is about everything. Oh yeah it went kinda like this imo: OMG GREEN NOTES boring boring boring boring js GREEN NOTES boring then 24th triplets. Kinda mindless. However still kinda fun.
Challenge: Didn’t see much difference except maybe more mines but still boring lol.

Bullet Timing: Challenge: Whoa this was a lot shorter than I thought. Which actually almost lost a few “points” for me. Fun, challenging solos. I liked it.
Edit: Haha, you stepped the sound from m6-7. I was about to put that in my challenge review. The same, so fun, but bs obviously with some of those ridiculous sounds.

Cities of the Future: Heavy: Song is so corny, haha. Feels a little empty at some parts. But after the beginning, patterns felt just so good, and really didn’t take practice or whatever. A “sightread song”, if you will. The somewhat crazy patterns introduced later (like the 32nd trills) only slightly dampen the experience.

Clock Tower Stage: Challenge: For the short while it was, it was fun, although I’d argue some sounds could have been stepped and had some questions about holds and using them for emphasis and whatnot but fun. Really cool song.

Cockpit: Heavy: Wow, mines were actually fun. File was short and fun. Some parts kinda annoyed me, but overall fun. Also, song reminded me of every stepmania jazz song ever really.

Cosmic Orchestra: Heavy: Fun, kinda tiring file. I liked it. Not much really to say about it.

Criss Cross: Challenging: Boring and annoying file. Didn’t like it. Little sections were kinda fun, but nah, didn’t do it for me.

Cross Time: Heavy: Didn’t really like it at all. Beginning was kinda fun, but then kinda degenerated into 8th jump-dump with 16ths and hands interspersed. Ending jumpstream was also kinda fun, but nah. Not for me.
Challenging: Seems same as heavy, only with more jumpstream, which is thumbs down.

Cyber Force: Heavy: Another kinda dumpy jumpstream file, only kinda more fun in this case. Meh.

Davno Hotel Skazat: Beginner: Kinda cool song, kinda standard jump-jack-12th file, but still pulled off to be pretty fun.
Heavy: Hmmm, not sure what the difference is; probably almost same as beginner. In that case, pretty fun.

Demystify Feast: Heavy: Right from the beginning, goes into overstepping territory with the jumpstreams and 32nd bursts, even in a really calm part of the song. Then feels understepped (what is that 8th note jump stuff?). Then starts to feel better and harder. Song might be a bit too “touhou”, but it’s fine. 32nd bursts and jump-jacks are really tough. Pretty fun.

Divine Service: Heavy: Boring as hell and 8th jumps blah blah until end with streams, which is moderately fun. Boring.

Don’t Make Me Wild Like You: Heavy: Overall a little fun but kinda boring, both song and steps. Also, I don’t really like it when steps “wimp out” and step bursts as holds when they could be really fun as bursts or trills.
Challenge: Not much of a difference, so same goes for this one. Didn’t even step bursts.

Dragon’s Eye: Heavy: Beginning was promising because mines were actually fun, but a little annoying steps. Still pretty fun.

the vast majority of stepfiles made by decent artists are for 4 finger spread. 3 finger spread is almost solely an ffr thing now

it's useless to argue about difficulties(too hard, overstepped, spread biased, etc) of files since it's a thing this pack is meant to be, so deal with it

Haven't played much of it, liked everything I played so far though. Chances are I'll find everything in this pack fun, I just wont ever play every file in the pack, considering there's not a single pack ever that I've played every file in >_>

Also, mines are annoying on SM, this isn't ITG where they actually are fun.
Guess I shouldn't really bitch though, someone out there probably finds them fun.

here's what I'd suggest: in addition to playing one-handed, also learn to play spread. that way you can enjoy hard files on spread and easier files with one hand

that's why I picked up a bit of index and one-handed
