Re: Ultra Beatdown pack released!! (video preview included)
Okay I'll brb with more reviews.
Played one file.
A Flame For Freedom:
I have one thing to say.
HOLY CRAP STEP SOMETHING OTHER THAN GUITARS.
The file feels SO ****ING EMPTY.
Like, I don't care if it's a guitar based song, layering is something you HAVE to learn to be a good stepper.
Like, when nothing is going on with the guitars, what you do is don't step anything, even when drums/vocals/etc. are playing.
STEP THE VOCALS.
This file is really easy and boring because you don't choose to step ANYTHING other than vocals.
Bad file in my opinion.
SERIOUSLY. Layer.
For what you stepped, it is correct.
The solo was kinda cool.
Heartbreak Armageddon
Heavy:
There are a LOT of cool drum patterns you could have stepped. Step 'em. I think the 16th note on m22 might be 24th or something. IMO it'd be kinda cool if the BPM was doubled at m27. At m39, I slowed it down, and it sounds like 24ths, not 16ths. AT m47, STEP THOSE VOCALS GOD. m65 is literally impossible for spread players. 195 BPM left handed trills? No thanks. Step drums at m69. From m95-m101 the 16ths are basically inaudible (or whatever you are stepping).
m103 is almost impossible for spread players, as is m109. m111 and m112 is cool, the jacks are PR but really really hard. Same with m115 and m116. Step drums at m117. m122 isn't correct; close, but not correct. Check it again. m123 and m124 are actually 32nds, not 24ths (even though that would be ****ing impossible). m131 is really hard for spread players. As is m135. AND HOLY CRAP m141 and m142 are IMPOSSIBLE for spread players. m177 and m178 is impossible for spread players. m179 would also be really hard. m234 is cool, some parts might be off, but good sync. m258 is impossible AND technically incorrect. m285 and m286 are really hard, and the left-down-left-down-left-down-etc. trill is impossible for spread players. m290 is impossible for spread players. m312 is impossible for spread players, and technically incorrect. m320 and m321 would be very hard for spread players. As is m337.
SONG IS WAY TOO LONG.
It's really generic too.
So far my opinion is that you are incapable of stepping anything other than guitars, which makes your files generic and boring. The song choices suck and are generic. The files aren't too great so far; I don't like them.
