Stepping DragonForce (video included)

After I stepped my first DF song I was heavily discouraged to not continue. However, against my better judement, I did. Since then I've seriously improved in my sim making. Yet my DF sims are very low rated compared to most of my much-earlier (and not as good) files. Seems like they always balance out with very high and very low ratings.

So what's the deal with DF sims? Do half the people just hate them?

Now sure you guys could complain "Too many trills, jacks, blah blah, etc." Whatever. But when you get constant 1/10 ratings (and equal high ratings) something's wrong. I'm not trying to defend my sims. I just wanna know if it's even worth stepping DF.

Is there such a thing as a very well-received DF file? What would it look like?

Also if DF sims are looked down on so much why are they one of the most popular bands (or so it seems to me)?

Any thoughts, guys?

P.S. Even more important than any DF sim: I put 2" on my calves over the last few months. I hit them again tonight!!! Yeah!!!!!

Yes, people think they're overated, and I, for one, think they're not. I like them.

Ps. Those files look like fun. I'd play them.

Answering questions in order.
-They're all the same. It's mostly the lack of variety that I personally hate.

-It's the vast number of 12 year olds that get their mom to buy guitar hero then they play through the fire and flames and then think that dragonforce is amazing because fast guitar and then they post everywhere with DRAGONNNFOOORCE RULZ!!!!!1 and tell their 12 year old friends about it, giving dragonforce popularity among mooching 12 year olds.

A couple people pointed out that a few of the low ratings are just attributed to their difficulty. Some people can't play them and get frustrated.

Here's my honest opinion: Your sims are stepped beautifully and I would love to play them. I say keep making them, especially if you're having fun doing so. Your sims look like so much fun to play and just because some people hate dragonforce doesn't mean you should just quit making sims of their songs... I would play your files all the time if I actually had the time. So again, I say keep making them, you're on your way to becoming a great simfile artist =)

Believe me, I understand this. But that doesn't mean that the files aren't FUN. I usually go for more fun files rather than accurate ones. I do understand that his files are missing some important things but I still stand by my original remark, they're fun so keep making them.

And saying that Dragonforce sucks doesn't help his decision at all. As I had said, he shouldn't base his decision to stop making files on account of people not liking the music. There's A TON of renowned stepfiles that I can absolutely not stand the song choice but I still play anyway because the steps are fun.

His files definitely aren't the greatest, but they are stepped pretty well, as in, they're synced correctly and had a lot of effort put into them. Which shows.

EDIT: After reading the above post, I'd like to point out that I've only watched the video he posted, and I have never actually played the files =/
