Get ready for some long post!
First things first,
Requirements:
First, you'll need to download XStep from Here
You'll need Winamp to from here(just get the basic).
And you'll need Stepmania's Editor(obviously)
First, we'll use XStep, It will tell you to locate DWI, Instead, locate the Stepmania Folder, in other words C:\Program Files\Stepmania . Now you can start using XStep.
We'll only be using the non-optional:
Location of MP3(You can also do OGG file)file
Name of Song
Name of Artist
Steps:
Step 1: Find the Location of MP3(or OGG) Find it ONLY in:
C:\Program Files\Stepmania\Songs\<song folder>\<name of song>\<name of song>.MP3
That makes it usable in Resonance.
Step 2: Fill in Name of Song and Name of Artist(if you don't know the artist, put "Unknown")
Step 3: Find the beginning BPM of your song first, to do this, Press the find BPM button, You will be pressing ENTER to the BPM of your music. Press Enter to start the music in Winamp, click the BPM finder window. You'll need to know where your arrows will start, because that's the time when you'll press ENTER to the beat of your music. Now when it starts your music, Start pressing ENTER to the BPM of your music when you want an arrow to start it there. Continue pressing it to the beat of your song's BPM until it gives you a BPM. You can Accept or Reject. Choose Accept if that's the BPM you want for your music. Congrats, you found the BPM.
Step 4: Now find the GAP. Press Find Gap, Press ENTER to start music in WINAMP. Click the GAP finder window. Just the like the last step, press ENTER when you want an arrow to start it there, Do it one more time because it will make you. It gives you a GAP. You can Accept or Reject, Choose Accept. Congrats, you found the BPM.
Step 5: DON'T DO ANYTHING ELSE WITH XSTEP! Like the Arrow freezes(stops) / BPM shifts, Do that with Stepmania by Finding the BPM by yourself.
Step 6: Make sure you have:
C:\Program Files\Stepmania\Songs\<song folder>\<name of song>\<name of song>.MP3
or
C:\Program Files\Stepmania\Songs\<song folder>\<name of song>\<name of song>.OGG
That's actually what you set for Location of MP3.
Step 7: SAVE IT! Goto File, Export DWI, select NO! Make or put the file in your song folder for the DWI. In other words, C:\Program Files\Stepmania\Songs\<song folder>\<name of song>\<name of song>.DWI
Step 8: Open Stepmania, goto EDIT/SYNC STEPS, Find your song, and edit and make steps.
There you have it! A REALLY SYNCED beat. All you have to do is get the arrows synced now. I tried it, it worked. I am going to let people judge it on RESONANCE.
Notes:
You probably also notice a Basic, Another, Maniac, and S Maniac at the bottom. That's an editor, I think it's not a good editor, because it won't tell you if you get Perfects, Greats, Goods, etc.

<-- This is the Edit button. It's at the bottom-right of all of your own posts. The Edit button is your friend; use it.
I'm tired of this.
