    Braintrust's [currently crappy] Sims

    Ok, so after working on pad steps for SImfile Revamp and a few other packs I decided to try my hand at keyboard steps. So, the first two songs turned out completely horrible. Each one got deleted without a second thought (about 2 hours after I made them). So, I tried a third.

    Do Not Move was the third choice. It's a 5 and a half minute song (which I will probably cut to around 3-3:30) by David Crowder Band (yes it's a Christian band, but it's still a good song), which I really thought could make some interesting steps. Parts turned out interesting, parts turned out generic, and all of it was too easy. There's also two sections with copy and pasted steps that make no sense, but it's just filler. That's where I plan on cutting the song.

    So yeah, pretty much download the file and let me know what you think. It's definitely still being worked on, but I'd like opinions on it now. I know some parts suck, but I also think some parts are good, and I would like to know if they actually are. If you can review that'd be great. If you can review by measure number (or at least in sections of the song) that'd be even better.

    Yeah, it doesn't even have art yet (I'm working on that too). So just download, and remember I'm still new at this.

      Okay. First of all, it is synced and onbeat. Some parts were off though, for example the part where you obviously was following the piano but missed some notes. Your usage of jumps felt really random, same with most holds. Some freezes where decently placed out though. I suggest you listen closer to what you want to make jumps to. Some people for example make the hi-hat into jumps, others to the bass, and others listen more closely and put jumps when there is 2 sounds being made at the same time.

          Thanks for the input. I know that the jumps were kind of spastic. I tried to follow the snare and any hard hits, filling in with soft bass hits and cymbals as taps. I'm planning on working on it some more, but I might try my hand at a song better suited towards kb steps first.

              Yeah, the song isn't really suitable for stepping.
