What's up, everybody! This is DDRNGGin here! First of all, I would like to wish all of FFR and the rest of the world Happy Holidays! Now, I would like to announce something really huge:

I am going to be releasing a Dance Dance Revolution based Pad pack for Stepmania!

That is right! This pack, "Project New Generation," will be coming out to Stepmania in the year 2016! The starter pack (Version 1.0) features a list of 38 songs, most of which coming from past DDR games. What makes this pack unique is that it features plenty of custom Challenge charts, and even a brand-new difficulty designed to give players a whole new challenge. This will be an exciting pack that players of all skill levels, whether you may be new to Stepmania/DDR, or if you are an elite, will certainly enjoy. This spreadsheet is currently a work in progress, but, there will be plenty of updates to that and the pack (with versions 1.1, 1.2,...etc.) that will feature more songs. The final and complete edition of this pack is planned to feature well over 100 songs!

I do have a second big announcement. I am also planning on developing a DDR-based theme for this pack. However, I cannot handle these things single-handed, I truly need a huge team of pack developers and theme creators to make this the biggest thing for Stepmania for the 2016 year! If you are interested in helping out with the pack or the theme, shout out your interest here!

Aighty, got it.


I like how you re doing remixes of certain songs, and I like how the songlist is all over the place timeline wise. It's looking solid! I would recommend you go light on most songs that appeared doing Max AC-Extreme as those have been stepped to hell and back again.

The first three DDRs have great underuse songs that never had hard charts added to them, so they are a gold mine for a project like this. I would love to see updated charts for Strictly Business, Have You Ever Been Mellow, Smoke, Rock Steady, Get Up (before the nights is over) etc. You might also want to look at some console only stuff. Personally, I loved the CS songs from Extreme 2 and while I do recall a few being heavily stepped back in the day, alot of them are ripe for reviving!

Regarding the revivals, Have You Ever Been Mellow and Smoke already had official revivals (with additional Challenge charts) back in DDR X3 VS 2ndMIX. However, I am definitely looking into reviving more Konami Original Console Exclusives and Arcade mixes in future updates.

I do plan on releasing the starter pack either on January 2016 or February 2016.

"Project New Generation" Starter Pack Progress Update: 7 charts have now been completed for the pack. Here are the following charts that have been completed:

Drop Out - Challenge Difficulty
Dynamite Rave - Ultimate Difficulty
Genom Screams - Challenge Difficulty
Grove 2001 - Challenge Difficulty
R3 - Challenge Difficulty
Wild Rush - Challenge Difficulty

EDIT: Diving Money - Challenge Difficulty chart has been completed.
EDIT #2: My Generation (Fat Beat Mix) - Challenge Difficulty chart has been completed.

If any of you would like to try these stepcharts out, then please let me know.

UPDATE #2: AM-3P (C&O Remix) will become a X-Special, meaning it will now only contain a Challenge chart.

I truly apologize in advance, but this is a very important update regarding this pack. The following songs have been removed from the starter pack:

Trip Machine Synthesis (Removed until further notice)
Fascination MaXX ~Triple Chaos Mix~ (Has been moved to Ultimate Boss Rush Phase 1)
Let's Get Away (Moved to Update Version 1.2)
End of the Century (Moved to Update Version 1.1)

Also, Infinite Prayer will be moved to Update Version 1.1 of Project New Generation, and has been replaced with Adularia.

In addition, murmur Twins will appear in Version Update 1.1 of the pack.

Important news update: Project New Generation (Starter Pack) has finally been released! This Starter Pack, containing a total of 34 songs, features returning DDR classics such as Paranoia Rebirth, B4U, Adularia, and more. Enjoy the Project New Generation (Starter Pack) to your heart's content. The download link is in the first post. These chart were rated/converted to the DDR X (20 foot) scale. Only the Singles play mode has a custom Challenge or Ultimate (Edit) difficulties. No custom Doubles charts were made, but, all of the official Doubles charts are still there. Tell me what you think of each of the charts in this thread, please.

Project New Generation (Version 1.1) will be released within 3 to 4 weeks and will contain 10 to 15 songs.
