Head over to the FFR Batch Forum for all the details on how you can get your file into the game. The Artist Permissions forum section will help you find out if FFR has permission to use the song your file goes with.
Rap music is music. However, It's not in the traditional sense of how we understand music. The vocals are filled with slangs that gangs used since the 70s and a lot of the instrumentations are replaced with "Street Sounds" instead of traditional instruments. Music is defined as any combination of sounds that is pleasing to the ear, so while one person may find it as "noise" another person can find it pleasing to the ear and so call "vibe" with it as how I think the kids would say it these days.
Dude I am beyond hype. Feels so good to get a pack out.
I just wrote the release post as a break from my work, so everything is ready aside from these two gfx sets.
If people submit them I can release as soon as they are done, if not the earliest I can finish it myself would be Friday evening.
Particularly happy with this one.
Since it wasn't available anywhere I could find on the internet, I used screenshots from BloodRayne: Betrayal to construct the word "the" by hand in the authentic font from the boss splash images.
Stole the "he" from the crabpuncher banner I had, and a "t" from another boss's splash. Was pretty fun.
It's such a shame this game doesn't live up to its soundtrack
EDIT- Guys I figured out how to put proper textures on text.
This is a momentous development, here.
This took me like 2 hours and not a goddamn minute of that did I ever feel like I was wasting my time.
Art like this is its own reward. (except the shitty .jpg quality is sad, why is good art of Lupin the 3rd so hard to find!)
EDIT- This, on the other hand, only took me 10 minutes. And it looks a lot nicer. Oh well.
Image looks straight out of some instagram filtered "hipster" white girl music poster or something.
Like instead of a song name it should say "Breathe"
A. I'm going to be working on this pack a lot over Thanksgiving break. Hopefully some GFX sets can be finished up over that time too. I want to be well positioned to release the pack once winter break starts mid-December, so that everyone can have something fun to play after finals.
B. I'm too happy with the Cheat Codes GFX I made not to share!
I used a wallpaper image I found that was perfectly themed but had a bunch of unrelated text, and did a lot of editing to cover up unwanted elements and make the new text look like it fit.
It's not perfect (for example there's some misaligned grid lines I couldn't avoid) but overall I'm really happy with it. I don't think I could have done this back when I first posted this thread.
