Finding Correct BPM and Stepmania Troubles

Hey, i'm trying to make a stepfile for a song called "Above Everything" by FGJ (for Great Justice) and i'm having a impossible time trying to find the exact bpm that works just right through the first 1/10th of the song, never mind the entire thing.
If anyone has attemped to or stepped this song before, could somone tell me or find out the EXACT bpm for stepping the file? I dont think i'm alloud to post the actuall song, but if i'm wrong let me know.

Also, I noticed that through different versions the timing seems to change very slightly. Is this normal?

    Try this http://www.mixmeister.com/bpmanalyzer/bpmanalyzer.asp

It gives you the average BPM only though, which means that you still have to figure out yourself the BPM of parts where it slightly differs from the analyzed BPM (i.e. piano songs or rock songs) If you're lucky, and the song doesn't have any BPM differences, it directly gives you the correct BPM number. (Well, most songs have a static BPM count)

If you want find to find the BPM count manually, enable Assist Trick, play the song on 0.3x rate, place some red notes for orientation and find your BPM for the song.

      Use DDReam.

That way if the bpm is too fast or too slow you'll see, visually, the beats either coming earlier or later than the beats. And you can use that to adjust

In fact, by adjust I mean you can -move- the beat into the correct time, select all the beats from the start to there, use g to smooth it out and bam you have the new bpm

Nice, I found that the BPM analyzer works, not perfectly, but it works very well. I now have the correct BPM for the entire song.

But I have just 1 question, who would I talk to about having my simfile put onto FFR?

This thread should answer most of your questions. Special batches open from time to time, but everything related to ffr submissions is handled in that particular subforum
