We are currently running a massive project that will give back to the SMO community, but we can't do it without all the simfile creators that have made the songpacks that we play today.
We are asking all simfile creators that think they have made an impact on the SMO community as we know it to send a PM to me (at stepmaniaonline.eu), ddrXero64, with the subject CSC Application and the message "I want to apply to be a part of this project."
Every applicant will then receive a message with the details needed. We are asking simfile creators from various SMO communities, and simfile communities in general to step in and be a part of this project.
After all, who wouldn't want to get paid for their simfiles?
Note: We will have a fixed period of time (probably a week, depending on how many applications we get) where we will wait for applications before starting to decide on accepted applicants. Once we start deciding, we will still be taking applications, but we will be gradually losing slots.
Note 2: Every style is equally important. Whether you step keyboard charts or pad charts, you are welcome to apply.
Note 3: I need people to keep in mind that if some of their artwork resources are applying to this project, then they may not have them as a resource anymore, because they'll be making their own banners and such.
Person A's Banner and Background Resource-> Person B
Person B's Banner and Background Resource-> Self
If both are a part of this project, Person A shouldn't count on Person B for banners and background art. This being said, I suggest that you list multiple resources if you don't make your own artwork, especially people who don't step but are very artistic.
Update: Now that we are at the halfway point (before decision making day comes around), I have a good sense of what we may need.Thanks to all the people who have applied already. I've noticed we are a bit scarce on the pad chart creators. If you have been a part of numerous pad packs, or just have skill in creating great pad charts, don't be afraid to apply! Anyone who can create difficult index charts as well are needed. Good luck!
