once you're comfortable with sm 3.9, try out sm-ssc

Don't listen to this guy he's Canadian. DL 3.95 when you get used to 3.9, it's 10x better.

hmm I'm not sure then. make sure that the noteskin you downloaded is designed for the version of stepmania you use

Sorry for bumping this thread so many times but kinda have to lol.

I was messing with the settings one day and then the opening menu just said "No charge to join" and now I cant change the settings and things of that matter. How do I get it back to normal?

EDIT: I still havent gotten the FFR noteskin to work btw... And are there universal speed mods or something? Some songs are faster than others -__-

C-mods are pretty much the most universal you can get. They keep the whole song at a constant speed like on FFR. Just download Izzy's speedmod thingy and your good =P

How to change speedmods thread. You can set a speedmod past C400 i.e. C600 or so(your choice), and additional cmods for rates, i.e. for 1.1x, use a cmod of 600/1.1, for 1.2, 600/1.2, etc. Use as many as you want, just follow the format in the thread and you should be fine.

Stuff the FFR noteskin folder into the noteskin folder iirc, i'm not sure since i don't have stepmania on my laptop derp.

This is definitely all you need. The only exception is if you have sm-ssc, they made adding custom C-mods so much easier so it's a bit different, If you don't have sm-ssc though, you should be fine.

Just curious, but is that speedmod generator still anywhere on the internet? I can't remember where I uploaded it. I know it was on ffr simfile database but that is gone...
