Got two more stepfiles coming our way just a heads up. This pack might have more than 40 songs (including our own)
That's why you reject some of the ones that are bad.

The only capable person in the judging roster that I see that can judge files is Rebound and even then he's still pretty lenient with judging. Even so, I doubt there will even be any files that will be rejected from this meaning everyone (hay blue) brace yourselves for bad files.
As Kommisar said already, doubt this will get much attention from pro stepmans.
All I can really say is lololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololollololololololololololololololololololollolololololololololololololololololololol etc

Not necessarily Blue. You submit a piece of crap, then yeah your file would definitely get rejected. I can tell if someone took the time to step a file with patterns that actually make sense and the ones that don't. I'm not saying you should perfectly sync each beat with the right notes (this isn't the FFR batch) but as long as you make the file go along with the beat without all the mumbo jumbo then you should be okay.

That's quite untrue. I admit Rebound does have some experience and knowledge when it comes to judging files but you're also underestimating both me and samurai by making false assumptions without reason. We're not that stupid Gundam, judging files does take a lot of responsibility but you shouldn't state stuff like "Oh, he's just going to pass off every single file that goes through submissions to make his pack look even cooler even if everyone's chart is probably gonna suck" dude because it not only makes us look bad but every other person you called out there that actually try to make good files for people like you to enjoy. This pack is about fun so please bare with us until everything gets finished, I promise you will not be dissapointed.
(P.S. Komissar is Komissar. As far as I know critics will always be critics.)

Might submit a few, any chart requirements?
Jumpstreams. Try not to add a lot of vibrajacks I want this pack to be mainly streams.
Gundam is saying that because well... both of you haven't really judged files on the side.
Even though it's not required, most people judge just to give people a heads up AFTER the pack has been released to show which files are good, and which aren't that good.
Gundam has done a fair amount of that, which is why he's still only a begginer judge, but does help out Xoon.
This is why he is saying this.
I haven't seen any reviews from you guys so i'm a bit skeptical about it as well.. :P

Well that's true but we haven't had any reviews so far because most of us are still getting our sh*t together but there will be commentaries on each file as soon as I get in touch with both samurai and Rebound (not anytime soon because at the moment they don't seem to be online). Our judging technique is a little different than usual and I understand why most of you are skeptical but things are under control so there's nothing to worry about. Once I contact the other judges the files should be given a fair look through. Hopefully that will satisfy you.
Thread will most likely be updated tonight, be on the lookout.
I'm in support of this pack. It seems like the whole stepping scene has always been focused on breaking boundaries, creating unorthodox approaches to stepping, that kind of thing. I'm not against it; it's what has driven the community to make better and better simfiles over the years. But I do think that as the standards of a "quality" file rise, it gets more and more difficult for a file to be considered acceptable. Yes, an author can always improve, but some things in a file inherently make it less desirable in the eyes of the community: namely song choice and the stepping potential that comes with it. Not every song can be a technical piano or guitar piece with amazing stepping potential. I think by broadening our tolerance of files, more songs with "intermediate" stepping potential can appear, without intervening with those of the simfile elite.
