A couple questions~

I always wondered..how do you get the arrows to be in the middle of the screen? Also..some people have it make a stepping sound when arrows are suppose to be hit, does anyone know how to do this?

For the first question, look for the option Solo Singles. It is under Gameplay options.
And for the second question, it is a clap sound and it is called Assist Tick. Either under the in game options (second screen) or simply press F7 while playing and it will turn it on.

It's stepmania questions lol, dragon go to options and looks for solo arrows and turn that on, and for the stepping part, press F11 or one of the F buttons, someone else cam describe it better.

You will confuse him if ya say Solo arrows. That, to me, sounds like you are telling him to make his note skin solo haha

I know. I never used to play with it on, but nowadays when I play, I always use it. It is a really helpful option.

Yeah, I have noticed a significant improvement in my timing since using AT. I don't think it is off.

It's offsync by something like .05 seconds because of some silence at the beginning of the audio file. Not enough for most people to notice, but it bugs the heck out of me. I have to set a global offset to my SM when I test my files out because I'll hit everything out of sync.

Still, if it helps you, go for it.

1. Gameplay Options, Solo Singles > on. While you're at it, go to machine settings, turn the menu timer off, then go to coin options and turn event mode on, then go to appearance options and turn instructions to skip, caution to skip, go to background options and turn danger to hide.
2. hit F7 to turn assist tick on. the sound used is C:\Program Files\Stepmania\Themes\default\Sounds\ScreenGameplay assist tick.ogg if you want to change it to another sample
