    SM vs SMO

    Is there much difference between the two games (besides the fact that one has online capabilities)? Can you download the same packs for both games? Also, is there a single player option for SMO?

      Yes.

          Although you have to get different noteskins, since they set those up differently (pretty gay if you ask me)...

          Same packs, same style (if you're going from 3.9 to 3.95, not to 4.0...), etc. 4.0 is slightly different, but basically the same.

                  4.0 is gay because it has no support. No themes, basically nothing.

                          well, there are two versions that work online
                          3.95 and 4.0
                          4.0 is garbage, so just get 3.95

                                  I think some themes that work specifically for 3.95 will crash online because (I'm not entirely sure about this, but) there are certain checks that SMO will do to make sure you are using a legit SM. Another thing about SMO is that you DO get ranked just like on FFR; I have no idea how the ranking system works however...

                                      One more thing... a song in SMGPack on SM 3.9 is missing (Cruel Whole (Abelcain Mix). And is only avalible in SMO/3.95/4.0.

                                          There are some differences from regular SM.

                                          You can't use the SM Editor in 3.95. There is still a single player option for 3.95, and in Online Mode if you still play single player, then if you die/quit out then you have to remake the room you were in. You'll get the hang of it when you start playing. If you use the SM Editor, do what I did. Transferred all my songs to SM 3.95, and kept My Creations in regular SM.

                                          P.S. There are certain themes that work for Online. I use Xoon 2, from http://www.bluexoon.com/forums/ Pretty nice theme.

                                          P.P.S. You can get mostly anything SMO related from that website. Packs, themes, the actual program.

                                              SM and SMO are the same thing...pretty much every theme works fine on 3.95 online that i've tried and there aren't really any differences to speak of.
