Stepmainia crashes when trying to play a stepfile im making

Basically, i can start up making a new song, and listen to a sample (wont let me listen to the whole thing, grr). I start recording steps, and that goes fine. However, when i go back into "play" mode, as soon as the song starts, the game crashes.

So, yeah.. kinda hard to get anywhere when that happens =/

Any suggestions?

suggestion: tell how u make songs for sm

Don't use record mode. You probably hit a timing for an arrow that SM doesn't has, so it fucked up. Never use record mode.

Step by every step, how do you make step files?

You go through and make the steps, and sync them to the music. It's very easy.
