long time noob ddrer seex dwi helpz

yeh so i organized all my songs and all the folders and whatnot...

my folder structure goes like this

<dwi>
**dwi install
**<Songs>
****<Default>
******<afronova>
********banner
********background
********song
********.dwi
******<b4u>
********b4u files
.......................etc

so obviously im a computer noob...i have read the other posts on where ppl have needed help and so i organized my crap like that...cept that when i run dwi the blue bar shows up which to me means its loading...then it just stops responding and i have to ctrl alt del out of it

my songlist builds as well if that means anything...

i have version 2.4 full dwi
i read all about the whole deleting and reinstalling etc...im in the process of going and getting a lower version like 2.3 or 2.2 ill tell you if that worx...any advice would be supA!!1!!!1!

I had this problem. reinstall DWI. replacing the .exe with another should work.

tried that

yeh i tried that like 50 billion times...im thinking the version i downloaded was corrupt or was bugged or didnt work with my system or something...in any case...i let it run for like 20 minutes and just screwed around on aol...because it loaded all the songs fine...
and it flashed different songs on the screen in about two minute intervals...and the music played as well but it was so choppy...so my conclusion is that something was lagging it...but even after i turned off aol and every other program it still lagged

conclusion=dwi 2.4 full install blows (on my computer)
so i got fed up and went and scored stepmania 3.0

i slapped my songs folder in it (that by the way takes a frickin long time to organize when you download 100 + songs (individually )

and it worked first time out
so although my solution is not solved (dwi still sux) lol
i can at least play my precious ddr now

i would like to thankyou for replying to my noob post though! makes me feel welcome!

two other questions:

does sm and/or dwi show the same amount of arrows on the screen...ie is the vertical visibility you have in the arcade the same you have with dwi and/or sm because it seems to me like you have less time to view the arrows in sm...could be cuz i only sat with my laptop on my lap and played with my fingers...it seems almost like playing on (sudden) mode...which even though i am a noob i rox at sudden!

and lastly...is there any way to change ffr so it reads different keys as U L D R?

And there is no way to redifine the keys for FFR. Maybe in Remix#2.
